Hero is a jerk and heroine is a brat.

Reading this story wasn't an escape from real life, it was a reminder of how entitled and selfish the younger generation is. There was nothing, NOTHING, remotely loveable about either of the leads, and reintroduction of the leads from the first book was very disappointing, as one was whiny and the other pussy whipped. Even pregnancy hormones didn't excuse the interactions with those two. I definitely grew nauseous at the nickname 'Munchkin.' Chris said he doesn't want children, and Isabella said she can't get pregnant. I say 'great! These two should never reproduce! I made it past the halfway point before calling it quits. I won't be reading the rest of the series.

Sweet story, but narrator ruined it for me

I had a hard time telling the characters apart. The children all sounded like they had Down's Syndrome (which wouldn't have been a bad thing, if that was what the writer wanted.) The women all sounded like lifetime smokers, with their raspy voices, which were not at all feminine or sexy. Obviously, the narrator has no problem with the male voices, which were very good. The story was very sweet, and I loved the ghost! I will read the next 2 books in the series, not listen to them, unless they have a different narrator.

Silly and annoying

If I never hear the words transcend, transcendence, and metaphysical plane again, I will live a happy life. The hero in this story is the villain, truly unlikable, and the heroine is intelligent, but idiotic in her actions.

Only 1 out of the 4 stories is worth reading

Only Dianne Duvall's story was worth reading. The others were yawners and took too long to get into.

Too much sex, not enough plot

Too much sex, not enough plot. Certainly doesn't inspire me to go back and pick up the first in the series, nor seek the rest.

A little too geeky

Way too many references to Earth sci-fi culture, i.e. Star Trek, Star Gate, etc. The heroine comes across as a nerdy (maybe college) freshman, with a crush.

It was a struggle, but the ending was gratifying

The story was very slow-going. Nothing wrong with the narration. I felt the struggle for speech by the Duke. That was genuine. But there were times when I wanted to yank the words right out of the heroine's mouth.

I could not get into the first two stories at all. But then, they are not my favorite Austen novels. The others were chopped up, apparently due to time constraints, and left out key descriptive parts of the stories.
