Great mystery - book 2 of series

This is a great series if you like animals and mystery. I really enjoyed the animal facts thrown in throughout the book. The characters are engaging. Perfect mix of adventure and mystery. Not overly gory even with murders. Book is well written and performed. Definitely recommend.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this book/audiobook. People claiming that the story was tired or just a bad retelling of "The Thing (John Carpenter)" I love the original "The Thing" and the remake. But I disagree about how this story copies it. Yes, it's in the Arctic and involves a group of scientists, but that's all. I loved the story and the characters. It's a book I re-listen to a lot. I guess it's just personal taste.

I started off listening to Terry Pratchett with Guards, Guards!! I love his guard books and this one is no different. Sam Vimes is awesome and I love how Pratchett is is developing Young Sam.

Although I enjoyed the story I did have a little trouble following it. I'm not really sure if it was due to the narration or the writing. It might also have something to due with the book being abridged. Not sorry I purchased it. And plan on listening to it again.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Mysterious Affair at Styles to be better than the print version?
I love the audible versions because I can listen to them while working. I especially enjoy the unabridged books.
What other book might you compare The Mysterious Affair at Styles to and why?
And Then There Were None. Same author, but different story. I enjoyed And Then There Were None more but it was also longer and it had more time to deal with more characters and plot twists.
What does David Suchet bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?
David Suchet did a great job bringing the characters to life.

I recommend both this book and this author.
