way to much back ground music.

The book itself is great, the full cast performance is also great. BUT omg the neverending background music is absolute torture. It literally made me so anxious. If I could have returned the 2 performances of Book 2 I absolutely would have. over 1100 books in my audible library and I have NEVER been so ready to finish a book.

I have over 1200 books in by audible library and have never left a negative review,
(that I can remember anyway) I desperately want to listen to this book as the author is one of my faves, but I simply can not get past the narrator for Abby. Don't let this review deter you, maybe you won't be as annoyed as I am. I wish I hadn't wasted a credit on the audio version, but I fully intend to actually read the book at some point

I'm going to need some time to recover from this one. I saw a tiktok that inspired me to purchase this book, and I did so immediately. I don't/ can't possibly regret that decision, but my goodness... I got about 2/3 of the way through and wondered if if the empath in me could possibly handle finishing the book, but also knowing I HAD to finish it. I feel like I knew how it would end, and whether I was right or not is irrelevant. I can say that I wasn't necessarily sad, I think I was just relieved. I'm not here to spoil anything, so that's all I'll say.

I initially READ this book(in 2020) and liked it, it was interesting and different and so well-written that I was convinced it was based on a true story. But then.... I LISTENED to it and freaking loved it- I mean, wow, the full cast of characters just absolutely MADE it! I remember thinking it would make a great movie. THEN the made it into a Amazon prime series- released March 2023- and I JUST watched it while listening to the audio book again (I have THOUSANDS of books in my Audible library and this is probably the first time I've re-listened) Daisy Jones and The Six is 100% worth reading, listening AND watching. The series has a LOT of differences and changes, but for the most part I didn't hate the changes. I cried after the audio book and the show. Is it selfish that I want more?!

I've been desperate for a good, well written, interesting book and RD NEVER disappoints! He''s got a permanent spot in my top 5 fave authors. Saskia is definitely a fab narrator. If the book wasn't already so great, I'm confident she would make it great ! thank you both for sharing your gifts with the world!

This book is fabulous, very well written... sooooo many good things. but honestly, it could have been terrible and I probably would have loved it anyway. Why? Because of Julia Whelan, of course. My goodness, what a gift she has. Thank you, JW, for always keeping me interested and on the edge of my seat!
