Understanding Autism is a must-have for any parent looking to connect with and embrace their child. I was already a fan of positive parenting, but I love how this book really contributed to my understanding of this disorder. The author breaks down each subject into clear and direct steps that any parent can take to improve their relationship with their child.

Great tricks from the very beginning

Wow, I didn't expect that my dog would be learning tricks before I finished the book, but there was enough in the first three chapters that my dog was sitting, staying and giving me his paw once I followed the instructions in the book. I can't believe with my eyes what my dog could do in following the step by step method. I think that this is a book I will re-read to learn how to get my dog happy to learn new tricks. As a bonus, I was happy to learn some foods that can harm my dog, which I did not know. I recommend this to any child (and parent) who is considering buying a puppy or like me, has not been given good advice up to now.
