Historia
Abortion and critical race theory are twin evils born of the same diabolical monster: racism. And yet, there are many in the church who want to call them good, even as America begins to unravel under their influence. In Eraced, John Amanchukwu Sr. dispels the myths surrounding abortion and critical race theory, and uncovers the Left's sinister plot to destroy the Black community and divide the church. Along the way, he brings to light important gospel truths to help all believers learn to think biblically about some of the most important and explosive issues of our day.

Absolutely spot on fantastic!
Revisado: 11-26-22
Pastor John does an extraordinary job telling it like it is and calling Christians out from the world and into full-blown responsibility before God for everything we think, do, and say. A real world challenge to die to self daily, and know your responsibility before God in this world is to be a worthy ambassador of Christ

Historia
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only 29 years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with an incompetent defense attorney and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in despairing silence.

Unbelievable corruption & dereliction of justice!
Revisado: 06-17-20
Dear Ray,
Cannot thank you enough for making your story known to the world! I am so sad to read about the unthinkable and unimaginable horror that was perpetrated upon your innocent life by what is supposed to be a "justice" system.
I'm trusting that God going to take the 30 years that you lost, and redeem it 1000 fold for His glory and honor! I'm trusting God that your story will be the catalyst that will keep hundreds and even thousands of innocent people from ever having to deal with what you had to deal with.
You are an amazing man and a real hero in my eyes! As a 54 year old white Christian man who has walked with God for 27 of those years, I was really truly encouraged to read about the Lord's faithfulness to you and the fact that you came back to the place of trusting Him on death row when you had every reason not to.
I LOVE this story of the TRUTH prevailing, and that people like Attorney Bryan Stevenson and your friend Lester actually exist on this planet! Lord God we need more people on this planet like Bryan and Lester that genuinely have the heart of the Father! Just amazing...words cannot describe my emotion and elation! I love you Ray and I am praying for you!

Historia
Rachel DeLoache Williams’ new friend Anna Delvey, a self-proclaimed German heiress, was worldly and ambitious. She was also generous - picking up the tab for lavish dinners at Le Coucou, infrared sauna sessions at HigherDOSE, drinks at the 11 Howard Library bar, and regular workout sessions with a celebrity personal trainer. When Anna proposed an all-expenses-paid trip to Marrakech at the five-star La Mamounia hotel, Rachel jumped at the chance. But when Anna’s credit cards mysteriously stopped working, the dream vacation quickly took a dark turn.

Much more than a memoir!
Revisado: 10-26-19
No idea how this book even came across my phone, because I have not told the story of being conned myself out of more than $30k to many people. Nonetheless, Amazon somehow had a beat and an algorithm on my interest in such a story that Rachel brings to life in falling prey to a con scheme.
I first say to Rachel herself...soooooo sorry that your noble character and trust was cruelly, and with malice of forethought, dragged through the mud of this horrific experience. I was VERY happy to read that some justice was served and you came through with the resolve of a true champion. Thank you for telling this story... it is quite empowering for people like myself, who would rather trust someone first, and ask questions later.
Rachel's book is a detailed and well written account that feels like a 3D experience of Jumanji... literally bringing you right in as if you are there by her side ready just scream at her "NO!!!! don't lend that money!!!"
This book is a literal God-send to strengthen and encourage generally good-natured people who have been, or are often, exploited and taken advantage of by others. It also proves that criminals like Anna will eventually reap what they sow, and it takes one resilient loud voice in the wilderness to bring them to justice! Thanks for fighting the good fight Rachel! You are amazing and you are making new TRUE friends all over the world by telling this story!

Historia
The original 1937 manuscript was written and edited with the assistance of Napoleon’s wife. In later years, the existing document was again edited by Dr. Hill. For example, the Foundation owns a 1958 edition that Hill edited personally. This did not lessen the book’s value in Hill’s judgment. Hill made the editing remarks in his own handwriting and the resulting 1960 edited edition has sold over 100 million copies making it the most read self-help book of all time.

Not necessarily realistic and a little strange
Revisado: 06-17-18
This book was recommended to me by a few different people, mostly guru's who speak at Real Estate events or have Real Estate training courses they are trying to sell, or motivational speakers. Some of the guru's even recommend this book INSIDE their course material! After much deliberation, I finally decided to get the audiobook. After the first couple chapters, I hadn't received any light-bulb moments. It was all pretty much a backdrop on the author and the origins of book itself, as well as supporting philosophical stuff which I had already been exposed to at some point previous in my personal development efforts. When I got past that point, the book started to get a bit weird as I listened to a chapter on the author's spiritual perspective and how it ties in with his overall concept of "Think and Grow Rich". Frankly, after hearing that chapter, I was convinced this author is pretty much a wack-a doodle.
Don't get me wrong, there actually is some pretty decent "meat" to this book, and the concept of having a mindset geared towards what you want in life, I agree with wholeheartedly. None the less, the spiritual aspect was a "bone" that was too large for me to get past. To follow this author into the deep recesses of his thinking as it relates to his spirituality was like watching the movie "Inception" as he takes you on the deep, hypnotic journey. For those who have no solid grounding in what they believe, and what they know to be true, it will be potentially easy for this author to lead anyone down his path because of the allure of wealth. It's rather cultic, and a bit scary to me because I can see how people would follow this author's religiously, even like people have followed any cult leader in times past..
If wealth is the only think that matters to you, then maybe you'll like it. It's not for me though, and I certainly don't recommend it because of the spiritual aspect.

Historia
I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. The authors lay out the evidence for truth, God, and the Bible in logical order and in a readable, non-technical, engaging style. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, Geisler and Turek provide a firm challenge to the prior beliefs of doubters and skeptics.

The book is kinda short, but it is still helpful because the author gets directly to the point. He doesn't overcomplicate the matter like many of the gurus out there will do. It's no smoke and mirrors, no ploy to upsell you to the next level, just straightforward practical content.
