beautiful story!!
Revisado: 09-26-24
with the exception of the strange, monotone voice that the narrator use for Joshua, the story was great. I can't figure out why she did that because the rest of the narration was exceptional. this is a very heartwarming story and I can't wait to listen to the next one!

just ok
Revisado: 08-04-24
this story was just ok. very slow with WAY too much dialogue on things that don't matter. nothing exciting happens either. there are no surprises, or twists lurking around the corner. meh 😑

great story
Revisado: 02-13-23
this is a great story but I gave it four stars because I'm not a fan of stories and cultures that talk about false gods and false deities. there is only one true God and that is Jesus Christ almighty! other than that I love the story and the romance. it was fabulous.

Precariously close to being destitute, Eliza needs a hero, but she’s not expecting one who almost runs her down with his car! Rescuing Eliza is pure instinct for tech genius Aidan Caine. At first, putting the renovation of his lakeside guest lodge in Eliza’s hands assuages his guilt—until he sees how quickly he could fall for her.

TERRIBLE!
Revisado: 01-03-23
terrible story, terrible narrator! sometimes I just don't understand audible, I mean do they ever pre-screen these terrible narrators? obviously not!. this reader is so unnatural, sometimes she sounds robotic and sometimes she pushes her words so forcefully that it's almost like they're slapping you in the face. I only got a few chapters in but there's also cursing and swearing in this too, which I don't like to subject myself to. I don't like that feeling of having to wash my ears out with soap after I listen to a book. it's ridiculous.I believe that when someone has to constantly throw in curse words it pretty much reveals their character and how immature they are. there's absolutely no reason to throw curse words every other paragraph in a story, but whatever. this story is also very lustful and sensual which I don't care for. I want a nice clean story and this is NOT IT.

Men are optional. That's the credo Emma Chandler's suffragette aunts preached and why she started a successful women's colony in Harper's Station, Texas. But when an unknown assailant tries repeatedly to drive them out, Emma admits they might need a man after all. A man who can fight - and she knows just the one.

annoying
Revisado: 12-02-22
I got as far as chapter 11 and I just couldn't take it anymore. the narrator is absolutely terrible. her voice is so breathy and sensual and the way she ends all her sentences sound ridiculous. it's not natural. and let's not even talk about the fact that her southern accent is awful. ugh. I'm sure the story is good, but I'll never know.

Good story
Revisado: 11-26-22
This would have been a 5 star story if it weren't for all the spelling of words. The spelling Bee theme and the word spelling was incredibly juvenile and left me shaking my head and rolling my eyes on numerous occasions. It was really silly and I absolutely hated those parts. I mean, honestly, no one remembers every spelling bee word they ever had in every grade in school and no one walks around spell-talking. It was just plain stupid. Outside of that, the story was really nice!

A truly WONDERFUL story!!
Revisado: 08-04-22
I admit that at first I was skeptical that I'd enjoy this story since it started out kinda slow and seemed very somber and sad at the beginning. I almost stopped listening, but something prompted me to keep going. I'm SO glad I did. This is such a fabulous story! I will most certainly listen to other books by this author. It's a must read!!
