Historia
Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours. A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land. An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny. We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together. Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here. In New York. And he’s America’s music obsession.

in the unlikely event you'll like this book
Revisado: 03-04-20
The book should be titled: In the Unlikely Event They Will Stop Having Porn Worthy Sex in Every Other Paragraph. Zero substance, and what little storyline there is amounts to a huge lack of communication, subterfuge, by the very person who should care for the female protagonist the most, revenge fantasies by the very man who supposedly loves her more than life itself! All interspersed with a group of friends/coworkers whom have nothing better to do but blow and blow jobs. Oh, and seriously, a chocolate candy bar?

Cute story, with a mystery attached...but...oh yeah, there's a but...sappy, sappy..I wanna slappy...love story where the male protagonist needs to to grow a set, and the townspeople need to be told in no uncertain terms to MYOB! Too much needless filler dialog to take it from a short story to an actual book. Clearly this is a new writer, she has potential, and though the storyline has its merits, she's in need of practice. I'd recommend not reusing the same descriptors throughout as evidenced by the repeated use, and misuse, of the word nonplussed.

Historia
Since she was nine years old, Alina Dziak knew she would marry her best friend, Tomasz. Now 15 and engaged, Alina is unconcerned by reports of Nazi soldiers at the Polish border, believing her neighbors that they pose no real threat, and dreams instead of the day Tomasz returns from college in Warsaw so they can be married. But little by little, injustice by brutal injustice, the Nazi occupation takes hold, and Alina’s tiny rural village, its families, are divided by fear and hate. Then, as the fabric of their lives is slowly picked apart, Tomasz disappears.

Must read! Should have a movie made from it!
Revisado: 11-26-19
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, if one can enjoy reading some of the horrors the Nazis. I liked how it went back and forth seamlessly from past to present and brought to two together in the end. I would like this to see this as a movie.

Revisado: 10-29-19
I very much enjoyed this performance which was more of a pod cast than a book. I related to so much in this story and I sure other women of a certain age will as well. Initially because of the way imthe story is performed I had a little trouble following it. I am so happy that I stuck with it; I was not disappointed and I could have continued listening...perhaps to a sequel?

When Eleanor Harper becomes the director of a renowned artists' retreat, she knows nothing of Cliffside Manor's dark past as a tuberculosis sanatorium, a "waiting room for death". After years of covering murder and violence as a crime reporter, Eleanor hopes that being around artists and writers in this new job will be a peaceful retreat for her as much as for them.

The End of Temperance Dare
Revisado: 09-01-19
This is my 2nd Wendy Webb novel, and I am looking forward to more. I love a good ghost story, and this one does not disappoint. Xe Sands Is without a doubt the best female, American English speaking voice narrator I've heard in these audible books. She does an excellent job with character voice differentiations both male and female.

Historia
Ian Chase broke my heart at 17, and I’ve spent the last 18 years hating him for it. He makes it easy, with his smart mouth and playboy lifestyle - which I unfortunately have to observe since he lives behind me. Every time I see him climbing out of his pool, practically naked and unreasonably sexy, my blood boils. I’ve always loved to loathe him. I never planned to need him.

Revisado: 08-17-19
More like "run like hell." The overall story was...just...okay. The behavior of the male lead was so annoying. So much so that I found myself disgusted with the female lead, who was supposedly a strong, educated, successful female, as she turns into a ridiculous mess after being treated poorly by a guy who tries to justify his behavior, which, as it happens, is exactly as he had treated her before.

Historia
Agatha is pregnant and works part time stocking shelves at a grocery store in a ritzy London suburb, counting down the days until her baby is due. As the hours of her shifts creep by in increasing discomfort, the one thing she looks forward to at work is catching a glimpse of Meghan, the effortlessly chic customer whose elegant lifestyle dazzles her. Meghan has it all: two perfect children, a handsome husband, a happy marriage, and a stylish group of friends, and she writes perfectly droll confessional posts on her popular parenting blog.

This novel kept my full attention; I couldn’t wait to get back at it, whenever I had to stop listening for a bit. Doggone it, work really gets in the way of my audible books...I need to retire! Excellent listen 5 stars.

Where are the forest meets the stars
Revisado: 03-22-19
Overall a good story but it was many chapters longer than it needed to be. And although I understand the traumatized history of the child, her petulant behavior was very annoying to listen to. This could’ve still been a very good story had the protagonist done what she should’ve done from the get go, and not accepted the inappropriate and unbelievable response from the first police officer she spoke with. No police officer I’ve ever known in my 24 years married to the business would have blown her off like that over an unclaimed, lost child...so that made the story lose credence for me.

Snow White Must figure out what the heck is going on!
Revisado: 01-17-19
Ummm...what just happened here? Basic story could have been interesting but gets lost in multiple, non-essential stories which end with a “huh?” Way too many characters who knew the truth and said nothing, with no believable reason for their silence. Also, chapters are not announced and with minimal pause in between it makes it difficult to follow.

When Wyoming highway patrolman Rosey Wayman is transferred to the beautiful and imposing landscape of the Wind River Canyon, an area the troopers refer to as no-man's-land because of the lack of radio communication, she starts receiving "officer needs assistance" calls. The problem? They're coming from Bobby Womack, a legendary Arapaho patrolman who met a fiery death in the canyon almost a half century ago.
