Historia
The title of this novel is a combination of two Sanskrit words, “siddha,” which is defined as “achieved,” and “artha” which is defined as “meaning” or “wealth.” The word serves as the name for the principal character, a man on a spiritual journey of self-discovery during the time of the first Buddha. Siddhartha is the son of a wealthy Brahmin family who decides to leave his home in the hopes of gaining spiritual illumination. Siddhartha is joined by his best friend Govinda.

It’s got a strange peace listening to it. Also I think it has some great lessons.

It’s got a strange peace listening to it. Also I think it has some great lessons. What I interpreted or learnt from it maybe different for each person. For me, things that stood out were that qualities of patience, fasting and deep thinking are the core values that are essential to one being able to gain a solid control over one’s desires and life. Also I think being consumed by some passion or work is same as being one with the universe. The word Ohm is a powerful one and something whose power goes beyond normal human understanding.

Historia
Robert Iger became CEO of The Walt Disney Company in 2005, during a difficult time. Competition was more intense than ever, and technology was changing faster than at any time in the company’s history. His vision came down to three clear ideas: Recommit to the concept that quality matters, embrace technology instead of fighting it, and think bigger - think global - and turn Disney into a stronger brand in international markets.

Very insightful and simple to comprehend
Revisado: 01-19-23
Author’s simple decision making process and ability to stay grounded at all times comes through quite clearly. Teaches you that even the biggest decisions cannot overlook human emotions and empathy and kindness is the key to tackling much of one’s problems.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Historia
Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn.

A great book for improving self awareness & EI
Revisado: 12-26-21
Very effective delivery of a very subtle but important psychological concept. I thought it highlighted many important aspects of leading ones lives the right way ; for eg having confident humility teaches one to be humble and acknowledging their lack of understanding in a given area even though one maybe considered an expert in related areas. It extolls one to be true to oneself which is so important to be at peace with oneself as well as ultimately strive for things we can achieve. A very consequential book for me to read that I plan to re read at least one more time.
