Historia
Trauma victims are not new to medical examiner Faith McIntyre, but this one is different. The unconscious woman clinging to life after a hit and run is FBI agent Macy Crow. What the woman from Quantico was doing in a dark alley after midnight is just one mystery. The other is more unsettling: Macy is Faith’s mirror image—the twin sister she never knew she had.

Revisado: 04-23-25
Loveddddd this book! Narration was perfect, really brought the characters to life. The story kept you guessing until the end. The only bad part was when it was over! I could see this being a movie. Well done.

No Thanks
Revisado: 04-17-25
Extremely cheesy, DRAWN OUT story. I felt like I was watching a D grade spooky movie. The plot had potential, but the unnecessary detail of every single scene ruined the book. I found myself actually skipping chunks of chapters just to get past all of the details and arrive at the actual important part of the chapter. The extra happenings besides the main storyline took away from the main plot. The undertones of the book bothered me and also ruined the book. I couldn’t wait until the book was finished. A waste of a credit.

Awesome from start to finish
Revisado: 04-11-25
Wow! What an awesome addition to the Celeste series…the narration was great, per usual. The story was sad at times, and kept you guessing throughout the book. Literally gave me goosebumps a few times from the creepiness! Well written, this author truly brings a story to life, always painting a clear picture of the scene for the listener. Wish we got to hear more from Celeste’s father at the end of the book, interested to hear his take on everything that unfolded…maybe in the next book.
I’m hooked. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Historia
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She has a good job as a defense attorney, a daughter doing well in school, and even her divorce is relatively civilized - her life is just as unremarkable as she’d always hoped it would be. But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood that was far from average...a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and finally torn apart by a devastating act of violence.

Incredible
Revisado: 03-31-25
Just wow. Blown away by this author and this story. This tale is heartbreaking, dark, witty at times, and had me hooked from the first chapter. The narration is outstanding, the best I’ve ever heard and truly brings every character to life. This is a must read. Absolutely incredible.

Outstanding
Revisado: 03-20-25
I can’t say enough about this book. The narration was superb. The storyline is heartbreaking, but entertaining and grips you from the very beginning. The characters are relatable and truly develop throughout the story. I did not see the twists coming at the end! I’ve read a lot of reviews stating that Pretty Girls was extremely hard to read, I would have to disagree… This book was harder to read. Some of the chapters are dark, but needed for the story. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Really really love this author.

Incredible
Revisado: 03-12-25
Wow. I don’t even know where to begin. This story was gripping, heart breaking, dark, and all around incredible from start to finish. The narration was amazing, really brought the characters to life. I agree with a previous review in that the book is dark, but not so dark where you can’t get through it. I was waiting for the moment where I’d have to turn the audio off…that didn’t happen. The details were chilling but not so chilling where you couldn’t enjoy the novel. The sick details of the murders made the evil palpable. I could picture this as a horror/suspense film. A part in the book actually had me gasping when a reveal took place. The father’s last letter at the end had me tearing up. I’ve never come across a book like this, and I doubt I will again. I wish I could give this 100 stars. Absolutely incredible.

Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 02-25-25
Narration was incredible. Story line slowed and was dragging half way through. Would have liked have seen more from the villain. It just became really cheesy by the fight scene. The “why choose” idea is not for me, I find it quite annoying and ridiculous.

Freedom. That's the first lie I swallowed. Haunted by ghosts and the secrets they carry, I'm being eaten alive by guilt. Pastor Michaels' reign of terror will continue until I surrender myself to him. We're fighting an invisible enemy that speaks the language of violence. Allies have become enemies, and new faces are threatening to derail my life. Someone's keeping secrets. My control is fraying. With Sabre Security under fire, I have to find the truth before it's too late. If not for my sake, then for the men that stole my heart and refuse to give it back.

ANNOYING
Revisado: 02-13-25
Am I the only person that finds this main character absolutely, positively annoying and unbearable to listen to? The pure idiotic cluelessness of the character ruins the book. I could handle a love triangle, but this? This is ridiculous. The pure obsession of the men takes away from the storyline of the book, they sound like morons. The crime portion of the book is spectacular and keeps you guessing. I found myself literally skipping monologues just to avoid the dragging on and on about the control and obsession of the men. It’s nail to the chalkboard annoying. The main character, she’s painful.

In therapy, they tell you to use your senses. List the things you know: Sermons recited with malice. A blood-soaked ritual. The sting of tears and gasping sobs of the dying. Rotting flesh. I grew up in a cage, tortured by the Lord Almighty's most twisted servant. Death and despair became my close companions as I watched years of slaughter at Pastor Michaels’ hand. Eighteen girls. Dead. Eighteen lives. Ended. Eighteen futures. Stolen.

The whole love entanglement really really got on my nerves after a while…and can see it’s only going to continue. Besides that, the book was amazing. Creepy story, kept me on the edge of my seat.
