I loved the Fallen Empire series and am smitten with this sequel. My only regret is to see the series end! Hoping for more Snapper stories someday soon! A delightful listen.

Loving this series about Jelena just as much as Fallen Empire. Action, adventure, and humor with heart. Can’t wait for the next installment! Emily Woo Zeller’s performance is lovely and brings the characters to life!

Practical and Actionable Strategies

I’ve been reading Laura Vanderkam’s books for a decade, since her book 168 Hours changed how I view time. This is her best work yet — with 9 easy to remember actionable strategies that are practical as well as life-changing. Laura has solved the problem of making a change in one’s life without resorting to drastic measures— tweaks and shifts in mindset that make a profound difference in how we enjoy our time. I also appreciate that these are strategies that can be modified and applied differently by different people rather than one-fits-all “tips” that may or may not help. I love the questions at the end of each chapter to help me implement and then reflect on each strategy. I feel like I’m taking a workshop rather than simply reading a book. I highly recommend it!

A new side to the characters!

I love the Dragon Blood series. But I almost skipped this one because I disliked Therrick in the other books and wasn’t sure I could read a whole novel focused on him. I’m so glad I read it! It was a lovely read and he’s become one of my favorites. Don’t miss it!

Awesome start to the series

Another fantastic series from Lindsay Buroker. Lots of action, memorable characters, and I’m looking forward to the next installment! This is books 1-3, I think there are 7 or more total. This bundle is well worth getting hooked on her work (I also enjoyed her Death Before Dragons series and Witch in Wolfwood series).

The performance by Caitlin Davies is excellent— the characters are so distinct, I forget there’s only one reader! Great listening.

Fell in love with this charming series

I wasn’t sure how I felt at first listening to this novel. It’s a bit of a slow burn, and very different than other books and series I’ve read in this genre, with main characters who are more mature (40s instead of teens and twenties) and a world that masterfully brings together the real and supernatural in a charming and refreshing way. Before I knew it, I was enchanted by the characters and the town and under the author’s spell for the series!

Charmed and charming

Listening to this book I came to realize just how fond I’ve grown of the quirky characters in this charming series. It’s different from many other novels and series I’ve read in the genre, with more mature characters and a refreshing approach to the intersection of the supernatural and the everyday world. I hope there will be more Witch in Wolfwood books in the future! Maybe one that focuses on Morgan’s sister? ❤️❤️
