It's actually a good story! Good pacing and plot, and of course does a good job of illustrating the dynamics of big government power.

Why no one should be surprised!

The true nature and agenda of President Obama is slowly emerging as his agenda unfolds. But it was all there IF ANYONE (other than Mr. Freddoso, can we say "the Media?") had bothered to wonder what he was doing/learning for 20 years between leaving the most radical wing of the Harvard Law School (who's OBJECTIVE is to figure ways to radically re-write the interpretation of the Constitution without having to go to all the trouble of actually amending it!) and his emergence on the national political scene. That is, mastering the tactics of left-wing Chicago politics with its unique mix of ruthless legal/political maneuvering (voting "present") in concert with literal mob intimidation when needed (ala ACORN and blue-collar union brownshirts). Now its too late but at least you will better understand why the man says all the "right" things, while DOING the exact opposite with his policies.

Brute demographics!

A 5-star book that I gave 4 because Mr. Stein should have read it! His marvelous senes of humor doesn't come through with this narrator which is a real shame. I would be willing to re-purchase this download if Mr. Stein were to re-record it. Anyway--I HOPE HE'S WRONG, and I don't agree with everything but his brutal collection of demographic evidence and history is compelling. More importantly, he NAILS the inherent, fatal weakness of our current wishy-washy, cultural relevatism in the face of assertive, aggressive, devout belief! By the time you realize what's happening--it's too late! (...as it already is in Europe and soon will be in the U.S.A.)

Deja Vu!

Every thoughtful American or Westerner (as in civilization) should read/listen to this book! It's not what most liberals think it is--a simplistic "lumping in" of liberalism and naziism--but, rather a fair-minded presentation of historical facts and the evolution of the philosophies behind the political evolution of Europe and now the U.S. The historical parallels are chilling. Goldberg does a great job of documenting and laying out the philosophical and political path that took the Germans to where they ended up less than 100 years ago. Contemporary political events bare a chilling resemblance. Whether we continue down the same road may depend in large part on whether we have "failed to learn the lessons of history" presented here.
