Engaging, Beautiful uplifting Imaginative
Revisado: 01-27-24
This book was engaging, poignant and also UPLIFTING, at a time when I have begun to find it difficult to find stories that leave me feeling , encouraged and uplifted at the end, while keeping me completely engaged in the story line. It still has ALL the best things in a story, mystery, drama, and romance. Thank You Charles Martin, for this true gift to the literary world. What a beautifully original and imaginitive spin on an old old story. One that effects us all in some way, shape or form. I applaud you Mr. Martin.

Whatever happened to a simple approach to life? Whatever happened to our appreciation for the land, the air, water, animals? When did man take such a brutal turn where money, possessions, power, and control all became the priorities in society? Do you ever long for the time when life was simpler and developing inner spirit and cherishing family were tops on your daily to-do list? Well, you can get back there through the teachings of one who has had them passed down for generations.

Historia
Xenocide is the third installment of the Ender series. On Lusitania, Ender found a world where humans and pequeninos and the Hive Queen could all live together; where three very different intelligent species could find common ground at last. Or so he thought. But Lusitania also harbors the descolada, a virus which kills all humans it infects, but which the pequeninos require in order to transform into adults.

Technical overload
Revisado: 03-05-15
Would you try another book from Orson Scott Card and/or the narrators?
This book was saved by it's characters, and the set of problems they each were trying to find answers for. If not for this, the technical overload would discourage many a listener.
I found myself at times totally zoning as the depth of discussion of scientific ideas were discussed. The ideas were interesting, just took a while to absorb. The characters were solid and interesting as usual with OSC. Almost traded the book in before finishing it, but as I said, the characters saved it.
What was most disappointing about Orson Scott Card’s story?
Too much Technical discussion.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Hard to pick a favorite. Three come to mind. Find out for yourself.
Do you think Xenocide needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No opinion at this time.

Wildfire
Revisado: 09-17-10
Anyone who loves horses will love this book, especially anyone who has dreamed of riding a fast horse. It would be even better if it was dramatized. The Narrator does well with the male voices, but the female voices need some help. That is my only criticism. This is an engrossing tale that keeps you interested from start to finish. Love it!
