Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Nice build up....
Revisado: 12-26-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
....to blah. I kept waiting to be shocked or surprised or for something to happen. It seemed like it was going to get good, but then it ended. Just ended like the author got tired of writing. I listened to this book on the recommendation of a friend. Maybe I expected too much because she loved it. I would not recommend this book to a friend.
What could Gillian Flynn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
written a satisfying ending
Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but the narration was good once I figured out why Amy was talking the way she did in the beginning.
Was Gone Girl worth the listening time?
Not really, but I am stuck in traffic 2 hours a day

Awful!
Revisado: 04-01-06
I was dissappointed since I enjoyed Straub's other works so much. I thought this was just strange and boring. I was left very unsatisfied. Sorry Mr. Straub.

He's Just Not That Into You, based on the popular episode of Sex and the City, educates otherwise smart women on how to tell when a guy just doesn't like them enough, so they can stop wasting time making excuses for a dead-end relationship.

Historia
While reporting a story from India, New York journalist Patrick Wallingford inadvertently becomes his own headline when his left hand is eaten by a lion. In Boston, a renowned surgeon eagerly awaits the opportunity to perform the nation’s first hand transplant. But what if the donor’s widow demands visitation rights with the hand? In answering this unexpected question, John Irving has written a novel that is by turns brilliantly comic and emotionally moving, offering a penetrating look at the power of second chances and the will to change.
