Hi hon, every book in this series, and as long as the author continues to write as well as he does, I will continue to buy future ones. I had to recommend to anyone interested in Science Fiction with an exceptional amount of humor.

Fantastic story with a really well thought out ending.

I enjoyed every aspect of this book, especially the pacing. There were almost no long periods with nothing happening. In addition, the story developed naturally with no giveaways to the mysteries too soon. The narrator was one of the best. His command multiple voices was excellent, and you could almost always tell exactly who’s talking. Highly recommended, the whole series.

Distracting sound effects

The story while somewhat interesting but had continuous interruption by repetitive and inappropriate sound effects. The editing placed horse winning that was continuous at inappropriate places. At other times, cow bellowing was so loud that you could not even hear the narration. If someone who knew livestock and ranching would have consulted this could have been a very interesting and enjoyable read. As it is, this one is a good one to skip.

One of the best endings ever.

This review is for the whole series. When I listen to the first book, it was interesting and well written, but I was uncertain if I would continue with it. I was able to acquire the last four books at a discount so I went ahead and the stories and the writing and the characters just got better and better all the way through. This last book is a testament to an author, who really knows how to write an exceptional ending. The vast majority of books, I’ve listened to do not end like this one, almost bringing me to tears. I highly recommend the entire series of five books, and I hope the author does not try to continue this series.

Skippy the Astonishing!

Hold my beer!… At first starting this series, I never thought I would become attached to a bumbling, cunning captain, and a shiny beer can. But the characters grab ahold and the story and the humor takes you away… Enjoy!

Very few authors Ken make characters come alive in spin, a tail like William Kent Krueger. In addition, the narration by David Chandler is the best don’t miss this one!
