Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

Love These Books
Revisado: 05-16-23
These will never not hold a special place in my heart! Although sometimes childish, and the parts in dragon's thoughts being odd and not altogether done well enough in my opinion. There is as well as some of the ex machina involved that all the books possess. However it is a story and naturally these things must occur! Overall the books hold up from when I was younger and now more than 10 years later I still cherish them anew!

Just As I Remembered
Revisado: 05-05-23
The story while sometimes cliched and ex machina it brings back great childhood memories! If you're a fan of the fantasy genre the world building and story are well weaved into an excellent and exciting underdog story. I'm excited to keep reading.

A good finish to the story with room for more
Revisado: 04-29-23
An excellent finishing to the story that actually has a feel good ending. Allows room for the universe to expand to other content in the same context. While good still and a must read if not to just finish the series I'd say it was my least favorite in the trilogy, the characters meant less to me overall. Although Slick was intriguing, and I smiled at Mona's ending although I was dubious of her happiness lasting, who's to say.
I'd recommend the series for sure!

Love These Books
Revisado: 03-29-23
Love These Books! You just have to remember it is written for kids, and accept the Ex Machina for what it is. I always appreciate the narrator's skill but this particular title got a bit bogged down with the various characters being represented in conversation while having the same voices. Even once being confused. Of course this is all a momentous undertaking and should be praised regardless! Keep up the great work!

Historia
A corporate mercenary wakes in a reconstructed body, a beautiful woman by his side. Then Hosaka Corporation reactivates him, for a mission more dangerous than the one he's recovering from: to get a defecting chief of R&D-and the biochip he's perfected-out intact. But this proves to be of supreme interest to certain other parties-some of whom aren't remotely human.

Historia
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

Historia
Twenty years ago, it was as if someone turned on a light. The future blazed into existence with each deliberate word that William Gibson laid down. The winner of Hugo, Nebula, and Philip K. Dick Awards, Neuromancer didn't just explode onto the science fiction scene - it permeated into the collective consciousness, culture, science, and technology.Today, there is only one science fiction masterpiece to thank for the term "cyberpunk," for easing the way into the information age and Internet society.

How Did I Live Before Reading This
Revisado: 10-31-22
I love science fiction novels. I always have since I was old enough to really start reading novels in general. I never knew William Gibson as an author until Neuromancer and having completed it for the first time here I mourn the lost time hereafter. I highly recommend it.

The Narration Was Unbearable
Revisado: 04-25-22
I'll just have to add this to my actual reading list because I just could not get through even the prologue. The narrator's performance was so lack luster and overall distracting I couldn't focus on the story.
