Historia
Sally Skellington is the official Pumpkin Queen after a whirlwind courtship with her true love, Jack, who Sally adores with every inch of her fabric seams—if only she could say the same for her new role as Queen of Halloween Town. She can't help but wonder if all she's done is trade her captivity under Dr. Finkelstein for a different cage. But when she and Zero accidentally uncover a doorway to an ancient realm called Dream Town, she'll unknowingly set into motion a chain of sinister events that put her future as Pumpkin Queen, and the future of Halloween Town itself, into jeopardy.

A good bedtime story
Revisado: 11-28-22
Overall the story is heartfelt and pieces together nicely. Bringing old memorable characters and a nostalgic feel to the story is very good. The story being told through Sally's eyes is a very good take. I feel though the story wraps too quickly at the end. That the expanded universe that this story tells, could evolve one of my favorite movies.
The recordings could have done with a few re-recordings in small parts. There are times where you can listen to the storyteller breathing into the mic and where it sounds like equipment is being moved or adjusted during the recording.

Bloopers

The Bloopers were the best part. Yes, the story had me very interested to see what happens next at each turn but the bloopers were a nice break in the story.

Filling my Star Wars addiction
Revisado: 11-09-21
I enjoyed the production quality and story details. I was left at the end with the need to continue the story. Each voice and music notes fit well together. Nothing feels like it was said by someone who doesn't know the material or just starting out. I didn't realize that I finished the book shortly after purchasing it. I couldn't stop listening to the story. I highly recommend this for any and all Star Wars fans and especially for anyone enjoying the Thrawn books.

Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist and narrator of the story, who happens to be in New York at the time, receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition which he accepts. Overall not bad.
Revisado: 11-03-21
I understand that when this was written it was a great tale. I picked this up just for reading the classics and wasn't disappointed. The story wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I understand why it has lasted through the ages but this seems to be written for someone who enjoys adventures of the sea more than myself.

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

I loved every second of it. Each story was told in a way that made you interested in the out come. I love that the universe expanded with the siblings. And some previous questions were answered from book 1.
Each story had me thinking what would Morpheus do to people who wrong him? Who is the main character in this story and why? I will definitely be buying the next book and listening to these again.

When Runnel leaves his mountain valley to head for the great city of the water mages, he has no idea of his own magical talents. But he soon finds that without meaning to, he complicates and then endangers the lives of everyone he comes to know and care about. For when it comes to magic, there are rules and laws, and the untrained mage-to-be must be careful not to tap into deep forces and ancient enmities. Otherwise, other people might end up paying the price for his mistakes.

Polishing stone with water
Revisado: 06-19-21
The story at first was tough and slow going. Not making much sense but the further the story grew the more I wanted to know how it ended. Once I was on the last chapter I couldn't put it down. The story was good. It was rough at first but with the slow work of runnel, it was refined into a fine story.

Everyone knows dragons have been extinct for over 1,000 years. Everyone is wrong. At least one dragon remains, and military scientists from the Cofah Empire are experimenting with its blood, using the magical substance to power deadly new weapons that could be used to bring the world to its knees. That's a concern for Zirkander, Cas, and the rest of the Iskandians, but all Tolemek wants is to find his missing sister.

Going to finish the series now
Revisado: 05-21-21
I picked the first 3 books up as a bundle and thought this would tie me over for awhile until I found something else. I've bought the forth book because the story is really good. Some twists you can see coming but each book ends with a note that could stop but then twists to something you didn't see immediately. I loved the ending of this book. I'm awaiting payday so I can get the next book.
The story overall was great. Though I did notice a few tropes and it seemed as if it's a universe that can't make a flying machine or a car can make microscopes.
The voice acting is a bit odd at times. Such as a few side characters sound very similar but with small difference. I understand one voice can only do so much.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.
