Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Interesting story with poor narration.
Revisado: 12-18-22
Different actors do different voices for the same characters so it becomes confusing who’s talking. I wish they would have kept it consistent. One moment the baron has an extremely deep Darth Vader sounding voice and a few chapters later he’s got a high voice and lisp. Like who edited the audio for this thing?

The Body Is Not an Apology offers radical self-love as the balm to heal the wounds inflicted by these violent systems. World-renowned activist and poet Sonya Renee Taylor invites us to reconnect with the radical origins of our minds and bodies and celebrate our collective, enduring strength.

Great message that gets ruined with contradiction.
Revisado: 10-01-22
Book starts out with a great message about radically loving your body and fighting body shame, then it gets riddled with contradictions when it tries to include people suffering with Gender Dysphoria (gender identity disorder).
Radically love your body, except if you suffer from gender dysphoria, then just do whatever you want. Fight for others to love their body and spread the message about loving their body no matter what, except if they suffer from gender dysphoria, then just pander to them and change your language to make them comfortable.
Near the end of the book the Author mentions the brain being the body and any mental disorder is okay because it's "the body" to them. Implying mental disorders like body dysmorphia is okay then because it's a mental issue and that's now "the body". Which goes against the entire book about radically loving your body.
Book starts out great but then just feels like pandering to people suffering with Gender Dysphoria.

Historia
Author Leslie Lehr wants to talk about boobs. She’s gone from size AA to DDD and everything between, from puberty to motherhood, enhancement to cancer, and beyond. And she’s not alone - these are classic life stages for women today. At turns funny and heartbreaking, A Boob’s Life explores both the joys and hazards inherent to living in a woman’s body. Lehr deftly blends her personal narrative with national history, starting in the 1960s with the women’s liberation movement and moving to the current feminist dialogue and what it means to be a woman.

Felt very negative and whiny.
Revisado: 11-22-21
Felt like the author just hates their boobs, hates men, capitalism and hates republicans. She blames all her problems on men, her boobs and anyone with a different political view. Takes no responsibility for her own decisions and life. All the complaining made the book feel super long.

A bit hard to follow at times
Revisado: 03-07-21
So many congruent storylines happening at once it’s hard to follow at times. Wish the swinger element wasn’t present too. Feels like it aligns nudists with swingers when it shouldn’t and confuses listeners as to what’s what at times. Would have been a lot better if the “lifestyle” and sex club was left out.

A woman disappears on her way to work. A man is convicted of her murder. But this case is different. Though the police believe they have the right man, key components of the prosecution case are missing. There is no body of the victim, no witnesses to the crime, no confession and no physical evidence: no DNA, CCTV or murder weapon.

Pointless and hard to hear
Revisado: 01-25-21
Hard to understand and hear a lot of this podcast in book form. Especially the interviews over the phone. There's also no conclusion so it kind of feels like a waste of time. Questions asked but not answered.

Historia
The healthcare industry says that the cause of 70 percent of all breast cancer is unknown. Dressed to Kill helps solve this mystery, explaining how one of the greatest threats to breast health is something that women do to themselves every day. This book has its roots in a personal crisis in the authors’ lives, when Soma Grismaijer was shocked to find a lump in her breast while pregnant.

Everyone should listen/read
Revisado: 03-02-20
Easy to listen to and binge. I’d encourage everyone to listen or read this book. It provides some very interesting and thought provoking information on what our culture is doing to women and the corruption of the medical industry.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Just like season 1 on HBO
Revisado: 11-27-18
The book and the season are pretty much exactly the same. The book has more details about character age and a few more characters. But it's pretty much exactly the same. Narrator does a nice job as well and gets super into it. Even does animal noises and instruments.

Good book. Ok Narrator
Revisado: 11-27-18
Stories are awesome. Narrator is hard to understand a lot do to his accent and the accents he gives to characters though. It's hard to understand without having the ebook open at the same time at points.

So much better then the movie
Revisado: 11-27-18
I don't understand why they changed the story so much for the movie. The book is a lot better. Beginning it seems like the writer has some bitterness and negative history towards religion and church which seems to go on for forever but after that the book is awesome.
