Historia
When Libby's husband Greg fails to return from a two-week canoe trip to the Canadian wilderness, the authorities soon write off his disappearance as an unhappy husband's escape from an empty marriage and unrewarding career. Their marriage might have survived if their daughter Lacey hadn't died...and if Greg hadn't been responsible. Libby enlists the aid of her wilderness savvy father-in-law and her faith-walking best friend to help her search for clues to her husband's disappearance...

I kept listening because of all the glowing reviews, but honestly I was on the edge of tears for most of this book. Sometimes a few tears makes a book great.

Making things happen!
Revisado: 01-25-23
Loved this book. Had another Steve Sims book recommended to me which is not available on Audible yet, and saw he wrote Bluefishing, which I had heard good things about a few years ago. So much great advice about making things happen through building good relationships. It was great that Steve narrated the book himself as his personality really comes through....I wouldn't mind having a pint with him.

From the outside looking in? I’ve got it all. Prestigious job. Pretty house. And a perfect boyfriend who just proposed with the perfect ring. I should feel ecstatic—but instead, I feel suffocated. So I break up with my boyfriend, hop in my car, and head south. Charleston, South Carolina: home to stunning architecture, sultry accents, and—oh yeah—my perpetually shirtless neighbor, Elijah Jackson. As if his abs for days and inked up deliciousness aren’t enticing enough, he also encourages me to chase down my dreams. And the chemistry between us? Hotter than the kitchen at Eli’s restaurant.

Super sexy southern accent!
Revisado: 04-21-22
I really liked this story. But, the big surprise for me was Joe Arden. Sure, he is a talented voice actor, but the sound of his voice has never been my favorite. However, Joe Arden with a southern accent? Absolutely scrumptious. I could listen to him all day long!

He's sexy. He's southern. And he won't stop showing up at my door half naked. Meet Elijah Jackson, my hot new neighbor...Charleston, South Carolina: Home to stunning architecture, sultry accents, and - oh yeah - my perpetually shirtless neighbor, Elijah Jackson. As if his abs for days and inked up deliciousness aren’t enticing enough, he also encourages me to chase down my dreams. And the chemistry between us? Hotter than the kitchen at Eli’s restaurant. But I still have a life a thousand miles away. One I’ve worked really hard to build.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Wild Fun!
Revisado: 06-13-21
I'm really enjoying this series. Characters are wonderful, narration is great. I'm never sure with "otherworldly" books, sometimes I love them, sometimes I don't. This series is a winner and would highly recommend.

Dump the sound effects
Revisado: 09-17-19
It's on my bucket list to read the whole Alex Cross series, so was looking forward to listening to this book. The big problem with this recording is the sound effects. Every time the story would come to an emotional high point or the end of a chapter some music would come on that was not only distracting, but made it hard to hear what the narrator (who was really good) was saying.
It wasn't a waste of time because the story is good, but would be happy if they re-recorded without the unnecessary sound effects.

Loved it!
Revisado: 02-05-19
I had a little trouble in the beginning of the audio book keeping track of who was who, but finally got it. Did not see the twists at the end coming at all...bring on the tissues! Just loved it.
