The tempo and characters as well as the fantastic imagination of Koontz makes me hope for sequels. The reader does an absolutely fantastic job.

Historia
Crime reporter Joe Carpenter lost his wife and two daughters in the crash of Flight 353. Joe is unable to work, think, or do anything but grieve, and wait for his own death. Then Joe meets Rose, a woman who claims to be the crash’s sole survivor. But before Joe can probe further, the elusive Rose slips away and Joe is left with haunting questions: If Rose lived through the crash, is it possible his family could have survived it, too? Did the authorities conspire to hide what really happened that night? Joe’s search for the truth will shatter him - and force him to question everything he thinks he knows about life and death.

At the end of the world, who will survive? The year is 2061, and the planet is dying. Cataclysmic solar storms have forced leaders from around the world to finally put aside their differences and agree on one thing-to jump ship. The human race is headed to Mars. Dr. Sophie Winston is hired by New Tech Corporation to test a biosphere deep within the heart of Cheyenne Mountain; a mission she believes will help prepare the company for the three-year flight to the red planet. But, just days into the assignment, things start to go wrong. When the blast doors open, it's a changed world.

Historia
My name’s Bill Ryder and, despite being a legendary creature of the night, I’m not having the best of days. My girlfriend is trapped in another dimension, my apartment’s being staked out by werewolves, and to top it all off I’m flat freaking broke. Too bad there’s no rest for the wicked. Monstrous beasts of biblical proportions have been unleashed upon the world, leaving me with a mighty big question. How the hell is one poor-ass vamp supposed to stop something the size of a battleship?

Meh! I'm done with this series.
Revisado: 02-05-23
I think I am done with this series. Bill and especially Tom have gotten really annoyingly stupid and it is no longer funny nor does it add anything to the story. Tom is there and does absolutely nothing but insult and say moronic things while contributing absolutely to the story. So I have listened to my last Bill story.

It’s a quiet life, until a local eccentric known as Spooky Ed shows up on their doorstep. Mr Koontz got lazy
Revisado: 01-03-22
I have always hated books where the author relies on an absolutely 1 in a million occurrence to move the story further along and when the hero never does the most basic thing that would avoid a ton of problems. You know...all he has to do is to push the damned button but for some reason he prefers to think about his place in the universe while the enemy is fast approaching. Or breaks a glass at the absolute exact moment as the security guy happens to walk by the room in a huge hotel.
In this book Koontz does it way to many times for me not to be frustrated. I usually love Koontz, but if this had been my first book from him I would never have bought another one.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
There are reasons we fear the night. He's not one of them. Bill Ryder was a dateless geek until he met a girl to die for. So he did. Sadly, that was just the beginning of his troubles. He awoke as a vampire, but fangs or not, he was still at the bottom of the food chain. Join Bill in this hilarious tale of immortal monsters and the man who's not afraid to flip them off, even if it gets him killed - again.

Mind numbingly stupid character.
Revisado: 10-02-19
I listened to the whole thing, at times it took all I had to not just turn it off and ask for a refund. So many things were over used...''I knew I should have paid more attention to blah blah" among other things. The mind numbing stupidity with which the main character, Bill, acts is really really frustrating at times. And the ''just in the nick of time'' thing is another that is waayyy overused.
You have characters that have conquered the world and are apparently so dumb that they fall for the most idiotic crap from this moron. The author obviously doesn't have a great deal of general culture apart from movies and only american ones at that.
In any case, it's a good thing it's only 1 credit for 4 books, but you get what you paid for, no more.
I will not be listening to anymore books in the Bill the vampire series if you paid me.

Good conclusion to the story
Revisado: 05-31-19
Although I enjoyed the book, it seems like Mr Koontz was lacking imagination, a few of the bad guys were carbon copies of the ones in the last book and some situations were just a little too outlandish to just happen but I guess some tension was needed to add the word count. This being said the book and story went along at a good pace and I enjoyed it.

Fun story but author lacks imagination.
Revisado: 03-23-19
These being short stories it seems that they weren't meant to be listened to one after the other. The author repeats a lot of fights from one to the other story. I will purchase the next book because it's just a great fun ride.
