Loved It
Revisado: 12-19-06
To each his own I suppose. This was my first Alex Cross book. If this is bad (as others indicate) I can't wait to listen to others. I found the book to be well written and the story line as believable as most other crime novels. The ending could have a bit more suspense, but I liked it the same. Narration was one of the best I have heard so far. This best seller is worth the investment and time. Cheers!

Five Star Listen
Revisado: 12-06-06
Harry Bosch at his best. Out of all my listens to Michael Connelly, I found this to be his best work. I enjoyed from the beginning to end. If you have read or heard his other Harry Bosch novels, you will like that many of the characters return.
A few loose ends, but I promise that you will not want to turn this off.

Excellent
Revisado: 09-09-06
My last review of this narrator, Joe Montegna was pretty bad. When I first started to listen to Judge & Jury I thought this was going to be a bad one also. Much to my surprise I found this read to be excellent. This is a easy listen with the plot following a logical sequence. Character development could have been more detailed but it is up to you to use your imagination. If you like the good guys versus the evil guys, you will enjoy this book.

Historia
Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Great!
Revisado: 10-27-05
Superb, exciting and rewarding. OK, so I have this commute every day about an hour each way. Every so often a book comes along that I don?t want to get out of the car. This is one of those books. The character build up takes the right amount of time to where you can feel their emotions and at the same time it didn?t drag along. Of all my listens, I rate this in the top five. You won?t be disappointed!

Historia
When scholars write the history of the world 20 years from now, and they come to the chapter "Y2K to March 2004", what will they say was the most crucial development? The attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11 and the Iraq war? Or the convergence of technology and events that allowed India, China, and so many other countries to become part of the global supply chain for services and manufacturing?

A Must read If You Have Kids
Revisado: 09-30-05
There is a lot of obvious insight in this book. Fact- Everyone is out to eat your lunch. While you are sleeping, someone else is just waking and they are trying to do what you do, faster, cheaper, and with higher quality. It is just reality and our kids growing up in the USA had better have parents who will prepare them for this new challenge. While our kids are playing with their X-Box's and I-Pods, our future competitors are learning and getting ready to compete.
I thought the reader did a great job. The accents used were fine with me, afterall this is not fiction but more info download. The speaker spoke with clarity and emotion.
Very good book.

Not his best
Revisado: 05-06-05
Story line was unbelievable, like some kind of a ?western good guy bad guy? in the 21st century. You better like the phrases ?He said? and ?She said? because these phrases are repeated so much it will drive you to suicide, which is probably, the story line of his next book. This constant repetition really took away from the story. I think they did this because the differences between the voices of the characters from the narrator is very poor.
