Lisa Lister kills it again! I love every book of hers that I’ve listened to so far. Her voice is captivating, and she delivers such knowledge in a relatable way! I’m so excited to learn more about and get more in tune with my cycle, body, and feminine self.

Consider my mind blown
Revisado: 04-11-24
All of the “truths” I had been taught throughout my life…are not true at all. I was convinced I was going to be barely getting by all of my life (I’m married to an engineer with 3 kids…there’s always something). I KID YOU NOT, on day 3 of reading Amanda’s book, I randomly received $500 from a distant relative. I’m excited to continue working on my relationship with and beliefs surrounding money - I bought her journal and planner, I can’t wait for them to arrive! Also, I love reading books, but I can’t imagine hearing Amanda’s in any other voice other than her own. After the first few chapters, having known nothing about her prior to finding this book, I felt like I knew her. This is a must-read for every woman.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Jeanette McCurdy is Amazing
Revisado: 03-29-24
I loved Jeanette’s raw, unfiltered documentation of her life. She’s humorous and shares the story of her abuse in such a way that I feel like I know her (I know I don’t). Thank you Jeanette, for being so vulnerable and entertaining at the same time.
