Must-read for our ever changing world
Revisado: 12-13-23
The New Nimble is an important book. Rather than trying to settle into a “new normal” (only to be uprooted when inevitable changes come), we should adopt the “new nimble” mentality.
Jay Sullivan takes us through a handful of insightful case studies of businesses recently called on to be nimble (knowing how and when to pivot). Given the events of the past 5 years, these companies had to flex in unique and novel ways, but all did so successfully. Sullivan guides us through the analysis and takeaways of each company profile.
The book is divided into 3 sections: 1) Know Your Essence, 2) Ask the Right Questions, and 3) Be Bold. Each section has a few examples that demonstrate how to be nimble. How do we stay nimble in an ever-changing world while staying true to our values? What questions can we ask now that will prepare our teams for coming changes? We get insights to these and more questions.
JFK said that “the time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.” Start repairing your “roof” by reading Jay Sullivan’s, The New Nimble.
