This is a 4 hour long sales speech, but that's OK.
Revisado: 06-12-24
What the author is selling in this long sales speech is discipline, responsability, and consistency. This book should be great for people who knows what is to be done, but cannot find the will to do it.
As the author says, the compound effect will work for or against you, so you better know which actions are the best for you, if you don't know this book will be harmful.
The only thing I would say against this book is that the success stories are very cherry picked to fit the narrative. For example the story of Apple and MP3 wining for its consistency. Sony is a better example of consistency at the MP3 and it wasn't that successful.

Anarchism claims that there's no need for a state and that it would be better to have a society without central government. Anarchists dislike the authority of the state, but the dream of the stateless society is not a simple matter.

The audio book DOES NOT contain My further disillusionment In Russia
Revisado: 06-07-24
Maybe the audio is incomplete and doesn't not contain a book that says it contains, or maybe I wasn't listening right. How could I?.
The fact is that the audio in this book feels like an old and scratched vinyl record, it often skips or repeats phrases randomly. At first I thought this edition was censored, but no, the audio quality is very, very poor, although it sounds normal.
Such a shame about the audio quality because the books are a must read if you want to understand about anarchism.
Do yourself a favor and search for the compilations of the authors separately.

A really good overview of the fall of the Soviet union
Revisado: 03-12-24
What I didn't like was the reading, the first third of the books was read in short sentences and felt very poorly edited. They rest of the book was better, sometimes the reading was engaging, but only sometimes.
What I liked is that the author managed to recount the atrocities of the Soviet union from the beginning to the end in a clear manner. I think this book is a very good introduction to the subject of the fall of the Soviet union

What is the nature of space and time? How do we fit within the universe? How does the universe fit within us? There's no better guide through these mind-expanding questions than acclaimed astrophysicist and best-selling author Neil deGrasse Tyson. But today, few of us have time to contemplate the cosmos. So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.

Just skip the last chapter
Revisado: 08-08-23
This book does not explain much about physics, it's a history of time (So you are better off reading Stephen Hawkin's A Brief History of Time. It's better explained).
The thing that destroys the book is his final chapter, where he basically says that the world does not progress because of the farmer like minded. Which is very, very arrogant.

Historia
The Nazi regime preached an ideology of physical, mental, and moral purity. But as Norman Ohler reveals in this gripping new history, the Third Reich was saturated with drugs. On the eve of World War II, Germany was a pharmaceutical powerhouse, and companies such as Merck and Bayer cooked up cocaine, opiates, and, most of all, methamphetamines, to be consumed by everyone from factory workers to housewives to millions of German soldiers.

A new perspective on the mind of Hitler
Revisado: 08-02-23
Although the author says Hitler was fully aware of his actions the entire time and his use of drugs (not knowingly), the reading is very suggesting to the contrary. I was aware of drugs used in the WW2 by the Germans but no to the extent of what the book described, and also I learned about the drugs used in WW2, it was very interesting.
The bad thing about the reading is that the reader's voice makes you think is going to cry anytime during the reading.

A must read for understanding Nazi battles
Revisado: 07-28-23
I have listened to many many versions of what happened in WW2 and about the Nazi regime but never listened to a such well structured and well narrated version of the story. For the first time I understood the reasoning for the battles and alliances made during the period.

Historia
In The War on the West, Douglas Murray shows how many well-meaning people have been fooled by hypocritical and inconsistent anti-West rhetoric. After all, if we must discard the ideas of Kant, Hume, and Mill for their opinions on race, shouldn’t we discard Marx, whose work is peppered with racial slurs and anti-Semitism? Embers of racism remain to be stamped out in America, but what about the raging racist inferno in the Middle East and Asia?

Just as biased as the people the author critics
Revisado: 03-20-23
The author describes a disturbing problem with reasonable arguments in the beginning but, at some point this book starts being a trial of BLM and Critical Theory authors, not because their ideas, but for their acts of propaganda.
At some point this book sounds just like books of the authors criticized, grabbing some examples and constructing a paranoic all-explaining theory of the west being in danger.
Finally, the author has a really good idea I would like to hear explained, which is the battle against individualism as a battle against the renunciation of magical thinking.

Historia
Professor Louis Moore’s audiobook about the history of African Americans in sports in the United States educates listeners about the fascinating social and cultural history of the nation. For example, integration of major league and professional sports broke a major color barrier for one of the first times in the early years of the Civil Rights Movement. African American athletes competed in America long before the 20th century - in fact, they even competed during the years of slavery.

Highly bias and a misleading title
Revisado: 09-05-20
I thought this book would be a compilation of biographies of successful African American athletes, I was hoping to learn about how they found their call, who were their parents, what hobbies did they have, etc... Instead this book is like the cry of a child telling on his/her sibling, only accusations, and nothing about the athletes. This book is really hard to finish.

The year is 1970. Emma Gable, a blind teenager coming of age in a small industrial town in Western New York, is about as far from the seismic cultural transformations rocking campuses and city streets across America as a person can get. Emma escapes the chaos of her dysfunctional family by dialing up random numbers on the phone in her bedroom, just to see who'll answer.
