Historia
Jack Reacher, alone, strolling nowhere. A Chicago street in bright sunshine. A young woman, struggling on crutches. Reacher offers her a steadying arm. And turns to see a handgun aimed at his stomach. Chained in a dark van racing across America, Reacher doesn't know why they've been kidnapped. The woman claims to be FBI. She's certainly tough enough. But at their remote destination, will raw courage be enough to overcome the hopeless odds?

Ok story, but annoying narrator
Revisado: 03-10-22
My second Reacher book. It was OK, but The killing floor was more suspenseful and showcased the character to a greater degree. This one seems a bit too easy and inplausible plot, with a straight forward story. The narrators voice was a bit annoying with a style that reminds me of someone reading a list of single sentences, with a soft exclamation mark at the end of each one. The character voices is pretty good so he avoids a the single star.

Helpful, but leaves some questions
Revisado: 05-31-17
The book covers most of what you need to know about fasting, and I found it very helpful. I was left with some big questions though.
1. Autophagy - How does different strategies affect this powerful function.
2. Training - How does training fit in these various regiments, and how does one plan to adapt whether you do strength or endurance training.
3. Cancer was only briefly mentioned, and other afflictions should be touched upon.

Taking responsibility for your own life
Revisado: 11-19-16
Taking responsibility for your own life and how it interacts with people and the world around you, are a pilar in many leadership philosophies. A part from Stephen Covers principle centered leadership, I have not read such a clear, concise, and to the point book on this leadership philosophy. It stands on its own legs and paints a clearer picture than most. One war story from Iraq, one explanation of the principle, and one case study from the corporate world are excellent ways of communicating the content. One of the few books I've read twice; starting again imidiately after finishing the first read through. Don't be put of by the black an white world view of two US special forces operatives; get the gold on communication, humbleness and leadership of yourself and others.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

In the end all will become clear
Revisado: 03-10-15
Fascinating story about life in the Nazi concentration camps and how those who found and held on to some meaning would endure it. Frankl explains along the way, and in the last chapter, sums up his theories. Must read, but you might need to read it twice.

Leaves you wanting more
Revisado: 02-26-15
I've been a fan of the fantasy genre since my youth and have read a sizable number of fantasy books over the last 20 years. I find that Morgan writes as no other, with hard uncompromising and funny characters; each with their own huge flaws. In other words, no squeaky clean heros. In this third book the saga continues, and you are revealed some of the worlds mysteries, but you feel that there are a lot more stories to tell and even more to be revealed. I want and hope for Morgan to feel the same way about the world and the characters he has created for our, and hopefully his, enjoyment

These are the voyages of the starship A.S.F. Willful Child. Its ongoing mission: to seek out strange new worlds on which to plant the Terran flag, to subjugate and if necessary obliterate new life-forms, to boldly blow the... And so we join the not-terribly-bright but exceedingly cock-sure Captain Hadrian Sawback and his motley crew on board the Starship Willful Child for a series of devil-may-care, near-calamitous and downright chaotic adventures through "the infinite vastness of interstellar space".
