But the outbreak of war casts everything in a new light. Ella is forced to return to Scotland, where she volunteers for the war effort alongside the dashing Angus. In this new world, Ella feels herself drifting further and further from who she was on the Île de Ré.

Emotionally Moving
Revisado: 07-02-20
The story is a heart tugging story about a girl finding out the story of her grandmothers life between Scotland and France throughout WW2 and the two loves she has in her life. It's moving to see the way the life plays out and the choices made and the harsh reality of what living a life of tough choices can be.
The voice artist for this has moments of droning on so it can be zoned out if not fully focussed and the audio quality is rough in places with one or two lines being repeated.
Overall a wonderful story just let down by the recording quality.

Hollywood from an outsiders view
Revisado: 06-05-20
The book is a wonderful story from the other side of Hollywood workers. Seeing the world of film from those serving the film makers in the hospitality world. A tale of a girl finding her way in life and unraveling her families secrets and finding love along the way. Charming and heart warming and definitely makes you root for a happy ending.

Thrilling tale of two women's lives in ww2
Revisado: 06-05-20
Lovely book, harsh raw feeling of ww2 in England and Germany for two women and the lives they lead from childhood to adulthood. Hints of romance along the way and the harsh realities of war tearing countries apart.
