A should read for under 40 and a must after
Revisado: 04-29-23
I have been following his podcast for many years. While the podcast can be very technical, and sometimes turning people away, I think that this book is excellent summary of his work up to now I can’t really help people make a difference in their lives, and comes to their health.

Now, most people have heard of ADHD and know someone who may have it. But lost in the discussion of both childhood and adult diagnosis of ADHD is the potential upside: Many hugely successful entrepreneurs and highly creative people attribute their achievements to ADHD. Also unknown to most are the recent research developments, including innovations that give a clearer understanding of the ADHD brain in action.

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

You can pull so much out of this!
Revisado: 11-14-20
i have listened to the book twice with about a year apart between listening.
i am glad I did. i got so much out of the book each time. simply because I was in a different place in my life and especially the second time I was no longer shocked and blinded by the successes and amazing feats Goggins performs. I started looking more behind it. Listening to the real story.

I love that the story is raunchy, witty, has a lot of twists and turns and is very enjoyable. the humor and the story has made me laugh out loud several times. if however, you are offended easily by the word f*** or other things, then this book is probably not for you

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.

Fantastic, capturing without going over the top
Revisado: 06-30-16
Would you listen to Super Powereds: Year 1 again? Why?
Yes, absolutely, because it was fun to listen to and never boring
What did you like best about this story?
The topic lent itself to go really over the top. The author did a great job of developing the characters and without going to "overpowering" characters. It was full of action, character interaction and mystery!
Have you listened to any of Kyle McCarley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Have not
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were definitely moments I had to laugh out loudly.

Fantastic "Read"
Revisado: 01-23-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Reamde to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version but I have to say the reader does a fantastic job in portraying the characters, their attitudes, accents, etc and makes the story really come alive.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Reamde?
Reamde takes some turns and twists that really surprised me and made the story so much more enjoyable.
Have you listened to any of Malcolm Hillgartner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
At first it took me a little while to get into it (1-2 hours) because all the characters were being introduced but once the book took off, it really did. I downloaded it to run and I can tell you I had some 20 mile runs in there that would have been horribly boring and tedious without this book!
Any additional comments?
Fantastic story and I really have to figure out what to read next, so I don't feel let down.
