Over a good book but…
Revisado: 08-29-24
I was honestly shocked when the book started the way it did. I wasn’t expecting it to go directly into sexual talk and I almost turned it off and didn’t give it a chance. I put it on the back burner for almost 3 months. But then I picked it back up and finished it today. Once past this part it was actually really cute and lighthearted. There were some topics in there that may get to some but it was a good easy read. Onto her next book.

Another great fun read
Revisado: 06-11-24
This book series has been so fun to read. It isn’t hard to read either. I love listening to what the aunties are going to do and honestly they’re pretty predictable but I always find myself wanting to find out just how they’re going to do it this time. I can’t wait for the next book about the Aunties. Maybe there’s a marriage or two coming our direction.

Meddy Chan has been to countless weddings, but she never imagined how her own would turn out. Now the day has arrived, and she can't wait to marry her college sweetheart, Nathan. They find the perfect wedding vendors: a Chinese Indonesian family-run company just like theirs. Meddy is hesitant at first, but she hits it off right away with the wedding photographer, Staphanie, who reminds Meddy of herself, down to the unfortunately misspelled name. But Meddy realizes that is where their similarities end, however, when she overhears Staphanie talking about taking out a target.

Four Aunties does it again
Revisado: 05-29-24
The author knows just how to keep you hooked to want to hear the rest. Just like the other two books I’ve read by her I could picture all of this actually happening. It made me laugh and kept me wanting to see what happened. I love the antics of the four aunties and I am eagerly wanting to read the next book as a result. Keep it up they’re great lighthearted reads.

Revisado: 05-15-24
You know those books you didn't realize you needed to read? Well, this is one of them. After hearing him speak on the Mel Robbins podcast, I immediately added his book to my wishlist. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. His insights on escaping the rat race and finding happiness resonated deeply with me. It felt like the perfect book for where I am in life right now.

Kevin Hart knows how to write a book
Revisado: 05-09-24
Kevin Hart's books always pull me in effortlessly. There's a certain allure, maybe it's his reading style, but they're simply captivating. This latest one was no exception. However, it fell short of a 5-star rating because I felt it wasn't suitable for my teenage son, who's also a Kevin Hart fan. Surprisingly, that's not necessarily a negative aspect. Sometimes, it's nice to have a book for personal enjoyment. Nevertheless, many of the stories he shares are fantastic and deserve to be shared.

What do you mean you don’t know what Banana Ball is?
Revisado: 03-08-24
Amazing! Jesse Cole knocks it out of the park again with this book. I'm fascinated by the origin story of Banana Ball and Cole's aspirations for the future. What's even more impressive is that some of the "future" plans mentioned at the end of the book have already become a reality. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for his next one!

If you would have told a young John Stamos flipping burgers at his dad’s fast-food joint that one day he’d be a household name and that, at the height of his success, he’d be living alone, divorced, with no kids, high on a cocktail of forgetting, he might’ve asked, “You want fries with that?”

If you would have told me I’d love this book so much…
Revisado: 03-06-24
If you had told me that John Stamos could hook me into reading this book so quickly, I wouldn't have believed it. First, his voice—come on, we all want to hear Uncle Jessie read a book. But this is different. He’s mesmerizing with his words. He knows how to captivate a reader. I loved delving into his journey. Full disclosure: I’m like the other Full House and Disney-loving kids who wanted to hear stories about their teen heartthrob Uncle Jessie. Honestly, I never thought I’d love this book so much. The people he has met and the hope for tomorrow that he has are awesome. From playing at Disneyland to being on stage with The Beach Boys to owning a Dumbo ride vehicle. I loved every piece of it.

Look for a book that does business out of the box
Revisado: 03-06-24
If you ever want a book that's a grand slam home run out of the park, this one's it! I couldn't wait to dive in, and as I read, I swear I could hear Jesse Cole's voice in my head. The Fan First theory for business is absolutely amazing. The way he weaves in quotes from both execs, players, and fans is just awesome, not to mention his vision to change the world. If you're looking for a book that's all about business building, leadership, and just an overall fantastic read, this one's definitely it. In my opinion, it's a must-read for everyone. Who knows, maybe the Fan First approach will be the secret sauce for your business too!

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars
Revisado: 02-23-24
Because Mel Robbins didn’t read this on Audio. One of my favorite things about Mel’s books is her no BS tone she uses while reading the book. You can really tell how she feels about the various topics by her tone. However, with that being said I have to say it is a great book. It’s a great get your head out of you bottom book. I love reading her books and this one was no different. Onto her next one.

I wish I would have loved it
Revisado: 01-29-24
I wish I could say I loved this book. Her first book I read had me rolling on the floor and she seemed to hit the mark with the way life really was. This one I felt I was reading her opinion of the Bible and although some may like it, it wasn’t something I felt like hearing most days. I was just hoping for something different. Will it stop me from reading something else she writes? No.
