Historia
The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil. What follows is a suspenseful epic of one family’s tragic undoing and remarkable reconstruction over the course of three decades in postcolonial Africa.

Include chapter headings!

While I’m enjoying this classic story, this audible edition is frustratingly difficult to follow without chapter headings, particularly for listeners like me who are often interrupted mid-chapter. Seems a very lazy way to record the book.

Informative and interesting!
Revisado: 02-03-20
I very much enjoyed listening to this audio book. It reads like a course describing the major approaches that psychotherapists take to helping people with mental health struggles. The author is an award-winning teacher and has a warm and engaging manner as she explains the ways that different flavors of psychotherapy work. She uses relatable examples, including a running example from a leading documentary film series (the "Up Series") that follows the progress of a British man from childhood through middle age. This book will be especially useful to people who are considering a career in psychotherapy, or related fields, as it explains the inner workings of this approach to emotional and behavioral challenges.
