Historia
Canada is known all over the world due to its undying commitment to multiculturalism and its social and ethnic diversity. In a time when these values were unspoken of, Canada was the first country to embrace an official multiculturalism policy. Nevertheless, the path that Canada followed to become the powerful nation it is today was like a labyrinth, filled with challenges and obstacles.

Good Introduction to Canadian History
Revisado: 05-28-19
This book is an introductory survey of Canadian history. If you’re already quite familiar with the topic then it might not be for you. If you’re new to it, this is a great place to start. This short overview can provide the context you need in oder to understand more narrow texts.

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Postwar by Tony Judt, read by Ralph Cosham. Tracing the story of postwar Europe and its changing role in the world, Judt's magnificent history of the continent of our times investigates the political, social and cultural history of Europe from the wreckage of postwar Europe to the expansion of the EU into the former Soviet empire. Judt's stress is on the continent as a whole, from Greece to Norway, from Portugal to Russia.

The Definitive Survey of Europe After WW2
Revisado: 03-11-19
A lot happened after world war 2 and until about 2007 and this book endeavors to give you an overview of it all. This is essential reading for this period and something that I even find myself coming back to when I need context for another title.

Historia
In the late 1890s, Edmund Dene Morel, a young British shipping company agent, noticed something strange about the cargoes of his company's ships as they arrived from and departed for the Congo. Incoming ships were crammed with valuable ivory and rubber. Outbound ships carried little more than soldiers and firearms. Correctly concluding that only slave labor could account for these cargoes, Morel almost singlehandedly made this slave-labor regime the premier human rights story in the world.

A story that needs to be told
Revisado: 03-15-16
It's hard to be enthusiastic about a book that deals with genocide, but it's important for the victims that the story be told, and it's important for us to remember so that it doesn't happen again.
The voice actor uses Upper Received Pronunciation to great effect. This is very helpful with nonfiction, I wish more audiobooks would follow suit.

Historia
Something really strange is happening in the City by the Bay. People are dying, but their souls are not being collected. Someone - or something - is stealing them. No one knows where they are going or why, but it has something to do with that big orange bridge. Death merchant Charlie Asher is just as flummoxed as everyone else.

The actor reading didn't have a lot to work with. Poor Christopher Moore. What happened?
