Historia
Attempting to recover from his harrowing experiences in Mexico, in Land of Wolves Wyoming Sheriff Walt Longmire is neck deep in the investigation of what could or could not be the suicidal hanging of a shepherd. With unsettling connections to a Basque family with a reputation for removing the legs of Absaroka County sheriffs, matters become even more complicated with the appearance of an oversize wolf in the Big Horn Mountains to which Walt finds himself feeling more and more empathetic.

Revisado: 03-20-21
The narrator is PERFECT... and I have listened to this story twice. The author's in depth description of the environment is counterbalanced by the brevity of the characters' dialogue! You care about these characters, this land, and cultures you didn't even know existed. The people and places will stay with you.

Laughed until I ached!
Revisado: 06-24-20
Hats off to the Caimh McDonnell for creating such vivid characters and amusing dialogue. Narrator Morgan C Jones makes his mark voicing so many oddball personalities in distinctive ways. I am sorry that I jumped into this series at Book 4, and give credit to the author for bringing the reader up to speed without punishing those who have already been following along. I enjoyed it so much I just may listen to the first 3 books. The Irish have such a way with words, whether it be in poetry, song, or slang. The slang and casual expressions in this book made me laugh until I ached,

Historia
Nina once bought into the idea that her fancy liberal arts degree would lead to a fulfilling career. When that dream crashed, she turned to stealing from rich kids in LA alongside her wily Irish boyfriend, Lachlan. Nina learned from the best: Her mother was the original con artist, hustling to give her daughter a decent childhood despite their wayward life. But when her mom gets sick, Nina puts everything on the line to help her, even if it means running her most audacious, dangerous scam yet.

Take my advice.... devote some seriously uninterrupted....just listen …".me time" to this one. You will be cheating yourself of a real treat if you say, "hey what happened? and go back to re-listen to a chapter or two. Nope! You won't regret it.

What a daily deal find this was. Loved main character and was delighted to find out that it was a series! I am in Krueger heaven. A blend of detective elements, cultural and regional knowledge, and character development. A most enjoyable event...with excellent narration.

Refreshingly different - enthrolled!
Revisado: 09-29-19
I listened to all three of Cavanagh's book featuring Eddie Flynn in one week! This character is a cross between Harry Anderson in TV's Night Court and The Lincoln Lawyer with a little bit extra throw in. Each book is a stand alone story that thrills. Can't wait for another.

Historia
The "maddog" murderer who is terrorizing the Twin Cities is two things: insane and extremely intelligent. He kills for the pleasure of it and thoroughly enjoys placing elaborate obstacles to keep police befuddled. Each clever move he makes is another point of pride. But when the brilliant Lieutenant Lucas Davenport, a dedicated cop and a serial killer's worst nightmare, is brought in to take up the investigation, the maddog suddenly has an adversary worthy of his genius.

Not exacting predictable
Revisado: 08-05-19
I knew immediately that this tale violated every "real cops" behavior early, so I wrote that off. It was fun watching the play of competing women.. I did want to know the conclusion, and although driving your Porsche to the suspect's stake out site was a bit much....the ending was satisfying enough that I just might read another😊

Historia
When Elwood Curtis, a black boy growing up in 1960s Tallahassee, is unfairly sentenced to a juvenile reformatory called the Nickel Academy, he finds himself trapped in a grotesque chamber of horrors. Elwood’s only salvation is his friendship with fellow “delinquent” Turner, which deepens despite Turner’s conviction that Elwood is hopelessly naive, that the world is crooked, and that the only way to survive is to scheme and avoid trouble.

I suspect the Nickel boys will live well and long in the hearts of anyone who dusts off their graves and hears their long await stories. Sadly, such injustice happens in plain sight everywhere, everyday.

Now listen to an audio version of one of the most talked about government documents in history. These are the redacted findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team, which was tasked with investigating Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, including exploring any links or coordination between President Donald J. A tour de force by Mueller and Audible
Revisado: 07-08-19
Kudos to Mueller's team! I bought the hardcopy, but couldn't face it. When Audible offered it, I jumped! Wow! Each sentence is so precisely crafted. To the narrators; I tip my hat. This could have sounded like someone reading the phonebook... but a sense of urgency, conviction, and honesty reverberates through each sentence. I am so impressed and awed by the quality of this performance.

Couldn't stop listening
Revisado: 06-14-19
Despite knowing how this tale shall end, I couldn't stop listening. The narration is marvelous, with an ease for accent and dialect. I listened twice. You can't help but be moved, and shake your head at how little things have changed for the working class or justice and mental health.

How true that we are multilayered. Every one of us. In this time of seeing people in extremes, this gripping story poses important questions without being obvious. I will listen again. Quite good narration.
