Enjoyable Western Story
Revisado: 02-02-24
I enjoy a good western, and The Rattlesnake Kid was a fun story with all the murder and mayhem that is expected of the genre. The formulaic western story was well written, and the main narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. I wasn't expecting a female voice to appear in the narration, so that was a little startling at first. However, I quickly got used to her and she did a great job as well, especially with the Mexican accent.
Overall, I would recommend this audio book to any fan of classic westerns.

Callie is pregnant with her rich, new boyfriend’s child, and very clear that she wants the divorce from Jack so she can re-marry. But lost paperwork, a mysterious death within the law firm handling the divorce and Callie’s strange behavior have Jack and Kelly questioning if this is a string of bad luck or no coincidence at all.

Enjoyable Mystery!
Revisado: 01-29-24
This was the first audiobook I listened to in the Kelly Clark Mystery Series, and it did not disappoint. Typically, this kind of mystery/romance is not my preferred genre, but I really enjoyed this book. The romance storyline was not over the top as it can be in some titles in this genre, so that was a plus for me. I figured I would be missing some of the character background info since I am starting with book 4. There were some nice flashbacks that I'm assuming were from earlier books that intrigued me, so I am looking forward to starting at book one to get a better appreciation for the recurring characters.
The storyline was easy to follow and well written. The narration seemed a bit staccato or robotic at the beginning, but I got past that very quickly and the narrator did a great job delivering the wide range of emotions and situations in the book.
Looking forward to enjoying more of this series!

Historia
FOLLOW along in CONSCIOUS, a psychological thriller by Amy Perez MS Psychology. Though Ryan's journey may have started with personal pain, it blossomed into a testament of resilience, love, and the power of community. He vowed to continue his advocacy, knowing that change was a continual process, and that it was only through collective efforts that the world would truly become a place where mental health thrived.

Enjoyable Series of Short Episodes
Revisado: 01-27-24
I usually listen to longer novel length titles, so this collection of 9 episodes of approximately 5 minutes each was a new listening experience for me. I enjoyed being able to listen to the entire series in one sitting, and the narrator did a great job with the story. The story left me wanting a bit more though (in a good way). More details around Ryan's struggle with his mental health. More details about the FBI agent and that part of the story. I could definitely see this series being expanded into a full length novel or novels, and really hope that is in the author's plans.
Overall, I like the positive take on Ryan's journey, as mental health is front and center for many people today. Good positive message in the final episode.

Excellent Historical Fiction
Revisado: 01-23-24
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but it quickly grabbed my attention and held it all the way through. The level of detail from the author, and the delivery from the narrator painted a vivid picture of the events as they unfolded. This is an excellent example of historical fiction, and is masterfully performed by the narrator. I would highly recommend this book for fans of historical fiction and lesser known stories of WW2.
