Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

Historia
The Shongairi conquered Earth. In mere minutes, half the human race died, and our cities lay in shattered ruins. But the Shongairi didn't expect the survivors' tenacity. And, crucially, they didn't know that Earth harbored two species of intelligent, tool-using bipeds. One of them, long-lived and lethal, was hiding in the mountains of eastern Europe, the subject of fantasy and legend. When they emerged and made alliance with humankind, the invading aliens didn't stand a chance. Now, a select few blood-drinking immortals are on their way to the Shongairi homeworld.

Oh my god! Pronunciation!
Revisado: 01-16-24
Holy crap! Great story. Constantly derailed by awful narration and editing! Come on! Really? Just look up appropriate pronunciation of words. God lord! Great story. Terrible reading. It’s not the only one issue but it’s so common it’s catastrophic! E.g, Hegemony. J. J..! ha jem ony. It’s a J. Not a g. It’s not ha ge money!!!! You could pronounce it as hedge-a-mony, less common but acceptable. There’s many more, (like Inigo Montoya! How do you get that wrong?! Eeeneego) but hegemony is the worst and agonizingly repeated error. But so many other terrible pronunciations. Where’s the editor? The narrator should be better, but where’s the quality control?

Good fun! Great, easy listen.
Revisado: 08-21-22
This is just a light, easy, very fun listen. It’s certainly not hard SF, and there’s nothing deep or surprising about the story arc. You need to suspend critical thinking at times to stay immersed. However, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable summer listen. Ideal for a long car ride or working in the yard. Not everything written needs to be brilliant, complex, and new to be good.
A simple, humorous and enjoyable SF story.

Audio Scooby Doo, annoying to adults but preteens eat this up.
Revisado: 12-24-19
This set of stories are written to entertain pre-teens and are very similar to story lines of a Scooby Doo episode. Super cheesy plots, awful dialogue and overly dramatic acting. Just like the Disney Channel hits kids ages 7-12 love!
Definitely NOT for adults.

Amazing continuation of a great story. BUT! Narration is inaudible at times.
Revisado: 09-14-19
Audible provides an INAUDIBLE narrator.
Davis was better with this book than previous books in this series. But still frustrating. He is a great narrator, BUT stop whispering!!!!
In this book he still likes to drop his voice to a hissing, whispering, hushed tone to emphasize the story.
For those that listen in an audio booth, by yourself in the woods, or in a dead silent room, I’m sure his narration is awesome. For the 90% of listeners that listen in the car, on a plane, while working, its impossible to hear him at times. The drama and voice acting isn’t worth the frustrating inaudible sentences. Please stop!!! Jonathon Davis does a great job when he’s not reading so softly you cant understand the story or hear him.
Well written, engaging. Great characters. Narration needs improvement.

Amazing series, talented narrator, but with SERIOUS volume issues.
Revisado: 08-25-19
Love M. R. Forbes! The Forgotten series is excellent. A little sensational/superhero -ish, but if you’re willing to roll with it, the story is an endless ride of new challenges, great back story, and likable characters.
Narration is both excellent and awful. Unacceptable Volume management in an audio book. Throughout each book in the series I was constantly pausing to turn up or turn down the volume to manage the narrator’s voice. It didn’t matter if I was using head phones, in the car, or on my bedroom stereo... The narrator’s volume was all over the place and almost unmanageable.
Mr. Davis is a spectacular voice actor and provides great depth of character, BUT THIS IS AN AUDIO BOOK! I hate that he whispers, shouts, reads, talks, shouts again, whispers some more. Come on!!!! I don’t want to have to turn up the volume constantly to hear what your reading and then have my eardrums damaged by the sudden change in voice!

I can’t decide. Definitely engaging.
Revisado: 02-15-19
So... not typical Molles in any way.
I love his gritty, extremely raw, nonstop, can’t put it down, action stories. This is my least favorite of his works. That is not to say it is poorly written or a bad novel, just different and not my cup of tea. No doubt, this one had its great moments, but was much more in the Stephen King style of slow, ever building, anticipation.
It was interesting, then slow, then completely ridiculous (seriously), then an acceptable, satisfying ending.
Unlike most of his work, this book definitely has moments that create unfortunate incongruities.
If you’re a Molles fan and are just going to go for it with this book, then stick it out to the end. You won’t be amazed, but you’ll walk away with a decent story.

Enjoyable, but frustrating at first
Revisado: 09-08-18
I like to understand the plot. What is the core story line? Not happening here until the last 30 minutes. I guess that’s fine for a trilogy, but I don’t like a mystery so significant to the reader that I’m lost 90% of the narrative.
Overall, really good first book in the series. Worth a credit. Just be ready for frustration to the end.

Fun and Entertaining, but not as good as original Mistborn
Revisado: 04-01-18
Not my favorite Sanderson novel. BUT, he’s so good that even his average effort is steps ahead of most fantasy authors.
You definitely need to read the original Mistborn series to appreciate the details in this book.
If you haven’t read Warbreaker or Elantris, invest your valuable reading/listening time on these spectacular Sanderson novels first!

Very good third book, but longer than necessary
Revisado: 03-10-18
This is an outstanding series and if you’ve devoted the significant time to enjoying the first two books, definitely listen to Oathbringer. Of the three in the series, this book does the most for character development. However the middle third is SLOW! Stick with it, because the last third is the best portion of the entire series so far.
