This was a great follow up to Orlando People. I hope there’s another one in the works.

Historia
The beloved King Ik is dead, and there was barely time to check his pulse before the royal throne was supporting the suspiciously shapely backside of an impostor pretending to be Ik's beautiful, long-lost daughter. With the land's heroic hunks busy drooling all over themselves, there's only one man left who can save the kingdom of Jenair. His name is Dungar Loloth, a rural blacksmith turned innkeeper, a surly hermit, and an all-around nobody oozing toward middle age, compensating for a lack of height, looks, charm, and tact with guts and an attitude.

A bit annoying and hard to understand
Revisado: 12-20-19
I didn’t like the loud harsh language of the alien gods and how they switched back and forth. It was distracting and annoying. Otherwise, I liked the stories and the characters but I doubt I’ll get the second book

Historia
It's not every afternoon that an enigmatic, comely blonde named Stilton (like the cheese) walks into the scruffy gin joint where Sammy "Two Toes" Tiffin tends bar. It's love at first sight, but before Sammy can make his move, an air force general named Remy arrives with some urgent business. 'Cause when you need something done, Sammy is the guy to go to; he's got the connections on the street.

I love this book
Revisado: 04-20-18
I just finished listening to Noir. I am a Christopher Moore fan already and I knew I’d enjoy it. He really spun a great tale here that had me staying up way too late. It’s a wonderful story. Right up there with Sacre Bleu(just about my favorite book of all time).
The narrator was great. His voice and performance made me feel like I was there.
Thank you Christopher Moore! What’s next?

Historia
In July 1890, Vincent van Gogh went into a cornfield and shot himself. Or did he? Why would an artist at the height of his creative powers attempt to take his life... and then walk a mile to a doctor's house for help? Who was the crooked little "color man" Vincent had claimed was stalking him across France? And why had the painter recently become deathly afraid of a certain shade of blue? These are just a few of the questions confronting Vincent's friends who vow to discover the truth of van Gogh's untimely death.

I have listened to this book at least 5 times. Even though it's fiction it brings paris and the art world of that time to life for me.
