I'm at the point where I wanna see what happens but the narrative is so jealous, juvenile and borderline vomit enducing, its hard to get through. Its not often that I hate the main character but I do. This may be the last book in the series for me.

Historia
In this powerful true crime memoir, an award-winning identity theft expert tells the shocking story of the duplicity and betrayal that inspired her career and nearly destroyed her family. Axton Betz-Hamilton grew up in small-town Indiana in the early '90s. When she was 11 years old, her parents both had their identities stolen. Their credit ratings were ruined, and they were constantly fighting over money. This was before the age of the Internet, when identity theft became more commonplace, so authorities and banks were clueless and reluctant to help Axton's parents.

Historia
The ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan gets more than greasy corn dogs and flat soda when he visits a carnival in Kansas to which his apprentice, Granuaile, drags him. He runs across a barker with a strange power over the crowd: attractive women leave their men and disappear into an unmarked tent, never to be seen again, and the men wander away, forgetting that they ever had girlfriends or wives. When Granuaile falls under the barker’s influence and enters the tent, Atticus isn’t about to forget it and move on.

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Kevin Hearne writes these books with such detail and such description that I always feel like I can imagine it exactly as he did when he wrote it. And Luke Daniels is one of my favorite narrators, by far. He really brings each character to life.

America's favorite bounty hunter is back behind the wheel in her fifth hilarious, high-octane thriller. Out of bail skippers and rent money, Stephanie Plum strikes out on her own. Okay, so a scumball blows himself to bits on her first day of policing a crack house, and the sheik she was chauffeuring steals the limo. But hey, nobody's perfect.

I would have no idea what is happening. I can't understand half of what this woman is saying. She talks way too fast and way too "mush mouthed" to be a narrator or voice actor. I can't even figure out where the end of sentences are.
The storyline is great but the performance ruins it. Oh, and why does she change the pronunciation of a main character's name?! It hurts my soul.

Welcome to the world of Kara Gillian, a cop with a gift. Not only does she have the power of "othersight" to see what most people can’t even imagine, but she’s become the exclusive summoner of a demon lord. Or maybe it’s the other way around. The fact is, with two troublesome cases on her docket and a handsome FBI agent under her skin, Kara needs the help of sexy, insatiable Lord Rhyzkahl more than he needs her. Because these two victims, linked by suspicious coincidence, haven’t just been murdered. Something has eaten their souls.

Great story!
Revisado: 05-21-15
I love the creativity in this story. There are so many details that it paints a very clear image in my head of what everyone looks like and how the scenes appear. The characters are all very solidly formed in my mind and it was easy to keep up with all of the twists and turns of the story without losing track of who was who. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in audio books when a bunch of people are thrown into a story but if the author takes the time to make sure you 'know' her characters (which she does beautifully), it's easy to follow along.
My only complaint is the writers use of the phrase 'in heartbeats'. Time is always referred to in how many heartbeats it takes... several heartbeats later... in a matter of a couple heartbeats... I waited a few heartbeats... 37 heartbeats after the bang... Its just repeated ovet and over again. I get why she is using this phrasing but its repeated too much and sometimes its in there more than once every couple sentences. It wasn't like that in the first book and I sure hope it's not like that in the next one. If I never hear it again, it will be too soon.

Book ruined by narrator
Revisado: 12-30-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would but not in audible form. The book has some juvenile sentences and word choices but overall, the story is a good one. The narrator ruined the experience for me with mistakes and dead air and repeated sentences and paragraphs. It was hard to listen to the whole book but since I paid for it, I suffered through it. Good thing Book 2 has a different narrator or I would forego this whole series in audible form.
What did you like best about this story?
The storyline was fresh and attention grabbing.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Marlon Braccia?
Anybody. She did not do a good job at all. She drops letters and words, loses her place, repeats sentences and sometimes whole sections of paragraphs and just made listening to this book pure torture.
Was Itsy Bitsy Spider worth the listening time?
With a different narrator, maybe. With this lady reading it, I feel like it was a waste of my time and money.
Any additional comments?
Quality control in audible books is usually really good. Mispronounced words are usually the worst mistake you hear. This book sounds like it was being read to a child and recorded by a child.

Another great book!
Revisado: 07-15-13
What did you love best about Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues?
How emotion provoking it is. I felt like my girlfriend was telling me this story about her own life because I was reaction that way emotionally!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Angel will always be my favorite!
What does Allison McLemore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She makes this story with her voice and inflection! She has one of the BEST voices I have ever heard and I could just listen to her talk all day long!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did. It made me go through the emotional spectrum! I was doing yard work and listening to this book and I swear my neighbors probably thought I was crazy watching me react to this book!

Loved it!
Revisado: 07-15-13
What did you love best about My Life as a White Trash Zombie?
The story is a twist on life while still keeping those normal, every day occurances in place. You feel for the character, you root for them, you try to help them and by the end, you wish they were your friends in real life!
What other book might you compare My Life as a White Trash Zombie to and why?
I couldn't really compare any other books to this one. It kind of has a class of its own. The main character, Angel is similar to a character named Stephanie Plum (Janet Evanovich) in that she is kind of a screw up who is stubborn and funny and kick ass and still finding her way. I love both characters and it is nice to be able to relate to them and it makes you feel like you are not alone in your dumbassery!
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked all of them but the scene where she discovers that she had been set up to be date raped... She was talking to the investigator and it was just such a touching moment to see some else be so fierce in their feelings about what happened to someone else. It was very emotional and heart wrenching and I felt that through the words.
If you could rename My Life as a White Trash Zombie, what would you call it?
Nothing else would fit!
Any additional comments?
Allison McLemore is a prize to have as a reader for these books! She is flawless and I enjoy every minute of these books a little more with her voice added in there!
