Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

What a life!
Revisado: 05-22-23
Prince Harry’s story and is a tribute to his mother. I am not/was not one of those who read gossip papers or even people magazine. I was young when Princess Diana tragically died and I mourned with the world. My own mother loved Diana and so we followed all the news at the time. The paparazzi were revealed as such evil pawns but people continue to support them, buying garbage newspapers everywhere. He tried and is still trying to hold irresponsible journalists to the standards expected from people reporting the news. But his charity work, his foundations, those are were and are where this man’s soul shines! His love of Africa and it’s people, especially the children, was a constant theme. His love for Meghan unfolded as a true love story. His life has come full circle. I hope they continue to find happiness and wish them all the luck in the world dealing with Murdock’s henchmen.

Awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship to investigate the legends of Sasquatch, Yale-trained ecologist Dr. Robert Pyle treks into the unprotected wilderness of the Dark Divide near Mount St. Helens, where he discovers both a giant fossil footprint and recent tracks. On the trail of what he thought was legend, he searches out Indians who tell him of an outcast tribe, the Seeahtiks, who had not fully evolved into humans.

Just couldn’t finish it. Wanted to! Tried to but after 6 hours waxing poetic, he just hasn’t said much about anything except flora and fauna, moths and butterflies.

Historia
On the morning that will mark the end of the world they have known, Molly and Neil Sloan awaken to the drumbeat of rain on their roof. It has haunted their sleep, invaded their dreams, and now they rise to find a luminous silvery downpour drenching their small California mountain town. A strange scent hangs faintly in the air, and the young couple cannot shake the sense of something wrong.

This is a book I read every summer! Now that I have audible I decided to give it a listen. It’s still great. I’ve read it more than a dozen times so there are no surprises, but it is fun and one novel I will continue to enjoy…thank you Mr. Koontz for so many of my summer favorites!

Eighteenth-century Scotsman James Fraser and his 20th-century time-travelling wife, Claire Randall, have emigrated to the beautiful countryside of the Royal Colony of North Carolina. The year is now 1771, and dissidents are stirring throughout the American colonies. Claire forewarns James of the impending war and the dangers it may bring to their clan. Will her knowledge of America’s tumultuous revolution be enough to guide them through a dangerously uncertain future?

Love love love
Revisado: 05-20-20
I thoroughly enjoy reading the stories of Jaime and Claire through their adventures and time. I’ve read every one of Diane’s books on the couple. But I have to say it was very very difficult for me to start these novels because the narrator’s voice hits highs and lows making difficult for me to hear and understand. I tried three times until I persevered to the point of getting her lilt down. It’s not her accent. It’s the whisper, tones snd inflections . All of which make it a joy once you “get it”. If you can wear head phones it helps.
I for one am not interested in this story coming to an end! Keep writing Diane! Please!

Historia
The year is 1771. Claire Randall is still an outlander, out of place and out of time. But now she is linked by love to her only anchor - Jamie Fraser. They have crossed oceans and centuries to build a life together in North Carolina. But tensions, both ancient and recent, threaten members of their clan. Knowing that his wife has the gift of prophecy, James must believe Claire, though he would prefer not to. Claire has shared a dreadful truth - there will, without a doubt, be a war.

Thoughtful historic fiction
Revisado: 08-30-17
Story was interesting and I always finish a novel once started, however the reader's voice annoyed me to no end. It was almost a whine. My ancestors are from Luca and most things Tuscan are appealing to me so I read the printed word when I could and only listened to the whine when I was indisposed.

Jefferson mays saves this novella.
Revisado: 07-26-17
I bought this novella having read the other 2 expanse novellas. I was really disappointed in the story though. I stuck with it even as I was disliking it because J. Mays is such a great performer. However, the story really lacked everything I've loved about the expanse series. The other two Novelas had characters you could relate to from the series. This had new characters, not bad but novellas being short, they could not develop. The ending was just a stop with know completion and it was odd at that. If we discovered some ability of the proto-molecule that may have been a better tie-up.
Still I can't wait for the tv series to start up again and I look forward to more work from these writers.
