Don’t Hesitate!

Don’t let the title stop you. This is a good story and not just eroticism. Very thought provoking perspective on being a woman in a world that values saving face and containment of passion rather than valuing individuality and expression of passion. Characters were well developed and the mystery (the story within the story) kept me guessing.

Thought-provoking perspective on love and marriage

Those who know me won't be surprised that I rated the book high because it "moved" me. I engaged emotionally in Georgie's inner conflict. I thought the plot had an interesting twist and I love love loved my main take away from the story, i.e. The following quote. I'm paraphrasing a bit with this quote but the general gist is intact. Heard it on the morning of my 25th anniversary, so poignant timing. Here it is...
"The future is going to happen; even if you're not ready for it. Even if you're never ready for it. At least make sure you are with the right person. Isn't that the point of life; to find someone to share it with? If you get that part right, how far wrong can you go? Would you consider the audio edition of Fall of Giants to be better than the print version?

I love fiction in audio format...my long commute is a pleasure with good storytelling!

What about John Lee’s performance did you like?

John Lee has a soothing, buttery delivery.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was particularly moved by the secret wedding of Maude & Walter, their long separation living on separate sides of WW I, and the strength of their commitment.
