This book shows the aftermath and forever effects on the family left behind when someone commits suicide. As shown, you never know what people don’t want you to know. This is such a refreshing book that shows you can be mad at the person that chose to leave and still love them. No one talks about that. I think this book gives permission to those going through it to know it’s ok to feel what you feel. Allison Holker Boss seems to be on the healing path and is there to help her children navigate their strong sometimes messy emotions as well. Thank you for being honest and not hiding reality. Stephen “Twitch” Boss was someone who brought great joy to the world but hid his own pain behind a persona. I hope his wife and children can carry the wonderful memories of him with them always while moving forward and taking care of themselves in the process.

Wonderfully dramatic

I liked this series very much. This book, when you start getting into it, makes you question who is on who’s side. Stick with it. I wish the ending was a lot different and I wish there was another epilogue that shows the future and what happened to Axel and Lars but overall I was very pleased as usual with this author.

Such a great book

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m so glad I downloaded it. This book has such heart. Young love, tragedy, abuse and loss. Grace was a shining light even if she didn’t see it. Erick was her knight in shining armor and she made such an impact on his life. It’s a story of how one life can touch so many in so many ways.

I highly recommend this book and I will be reading others by this author for sure.

Insightful

I listened to this audiobook after Matthew Perry died. That was rough. Listening to the man himself talk about dieing and living and dreams that never came true was sad and heartbreaking.

You never know what someone is going through. Fame doesn’t make you happy or better. It brings its own problems which I’ve always understood but Perry put it all out there.

I wish he had been able to conquer his demons and live to get the wife and kids he wanted. I’m glad he at least acknowledged that his parents did the best they could and came to understand how he became how he was.

I hope in death he finally has the peace he never seemed to feel while here on earth.

What a ride

This book was so much of a ride. Heartache, sorrow, joy, fear, disgust and love. Above all LOVE. Sadly things like this happen in real life and we all try to imagine it doesn’t. In the end you save yourself.

Funny AND real

This book was so funny. That is not something you first think of with a Huss/McClain book but there are funny things in some of their other books. This book however was sooooo funny. I laughed and guffawed many times. I love the story. The behind the scenes of a Con story, the love story, the friends story, and I’m the girl in the twins in this book. I would definitely be up to be the face of my brothers love of writing, which he doesn’t enjoy doing at all, but I would be up for it if he did. That’s a special relationship right there. The friends and family stick together no matter what. The family of authors too. Side note: Raylynn Starr is comedy gold and such a psycho.

Wow what a ride

I have waited for this book for years. I was not disappointed. Even the life changing events that I would have preferred to not happen in the story happened, it made perfect sense in the end. The struggle for Alec, Christine and Danny through this series to have a life they all wanted and deserved was a heck of a ride. Their cosmic connection felt so real and genuine whether you believe in soul mates or not, this throuple were well and truly soul mates and meant to be no matter what. Thank you Jonathan and Julie for the end(?) for this beautiful, tragic and wonderful story of love and the struggle to just be happy and free.

Understanding dawns

I’m a fan of the real Royals. I’ve watched all the weddings and read all the news stories, watched the interviews and followed the verified social media accounts. Ever since I was little they fascinated me.

My big take away from this book is that Prince Harry always felt like an outsider, a second thought. Honestly I always felt sorry every time someone would refer to him as the spare. It did make it seem like he was an extra in the family. Hearing how his relationship with Prince William was through the years, I can understand that he probably had it hard also. All the pressure was on him to be the perfect one. The responsible one. Maybe he was jealous of Prince Harry’s supposed “freedom to behave badly”? As a big brother, I wish he had stood up for his brother more but I do understand his position made that difficult as well.

I feel like as brothers there should have been some understanding on both their parts as to how the other was or was not coping. Everyone gets caught up in their own issues and seem to forget to check in on the others.

I also feel like Prince Charles choose Camilla over his own children, and while he may have been raised to not have emotional attachments to his offspring, he should have chosen them and made them a priority. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be with Camilla but it does mean he needs to rein her in on how she treats them and their families unjustly. She puts her reputation ahead of the whole family in my opinion and so does Charles.

I’m not sure this relationship can be fixed. I think their separate offices conspired against them and they were only hearing what the “powers that be” wanted them to hear whether that was true or false information. Everyone trusted what they were being told and never could come together to demand the truth sadly.

I wish the relationship could be healed and everyone could be happy but I fear that is not a possibility with no one listening to each others truths.

I wish Prince Harry and Duchess Megan could have stayed a part of the family and made their own way. However, I see how difficult that was for them and they truly seem happy with their freedom and their children.

I hope that when Prince William becomes King, things can change and he can be the kind of King that changes things.

God bless them all and here’s hoping everyone can be happy.

So different

This book is so different than all the other JA Huss books I’ve listened to. I mean I guess not really different because the mystery and sex and relationships are there but it’s more of a psychological mystery in my opinion. I really enjoyed it and it kept me guessing. Highly recommend
