It was really good. It took a really long time to get used to the narrator, and I almost returned the book. It was worth a read though.

I spent the last hour rolling my eyes a lot. The stop was so good. And then the last few hours was done in a rush, with too much happening and unlikely events.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A decent narrator that could keep track of the characters and which part of the world the book occurred. It vacillated between Scots, Irish, English, some weird scandinavian something or other, and US southern accents. So awful...

Don't do it. Just don't. Or, if you do... be prepared to return.

I'm glad I stuck with it, but it was a sloooooooooow start. And skill? That's the best the author could come up with to name the skill?
I liked the narrator. And the characters. But you could just start 1/3 the way in and won't have missed anything.

Good story... but it just ENDS

What made the experience of listening to Troubled Waters the most enjoyable?
Narration was nice... Zo is an amazing woman, although it's never explained where her talents/worldliness comes from. She's thrown into a new world, and just adapts... I guess as a Coru woman....
Any additional comments?
The story just ends... the last hour or two are so dramatic and then it's as if the author was in a hurry to finish or was tired of writing. The same drama/plot/dialogue was not put into the last part as the rest of the book. It was very hurried along to get it over with.
