Historia
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.

Historia
In 1986, before Michael Lewis became the best-selling author of The Big Short, Moneyball, and Flash Boys, he landed a job at Salomon Brothers, one of Wall Street’s premier investment firms. During the next three years, Lewis rose from callow trainee to New York- and London-based bond salesman, raking in millions for the firm and cashing in on a modern-day gold rush. Liar’s Poker is the culmination of those heady, frenzied years - a behind-the-scenes look at a unique and turbulent time in American business.

Forecast to the 2008 Market Crash
Revisado: 07-05-22
I like the story and the added interview podcast that followed it's crazy how when you look in the 2008 markets and go back to the names that Michael Lewis mentioned in the book in the early '80s and '90s these people were the ones who were founding everything. and eventually they were the ones who crashed the market in 2008!

Who understood the risk inherent in the assumption of ever-rising real-estate prices, a risk compounded daily by the creation of those arcane, artificial securities loosely based on piles of doubtful mortgages? Michael Lewis turns the inquiry on its head to create a fresh, character-driven narrative brimming with indignation and dark humor, a fitting sequel to his number-one best-selling Liar’s Poker.

Historia
In the early 1960s, uncertainty and menace gripped New York, crystallizing in a poisonous divide between a deeply corrupt, cynical, and racist police force, and an African American community buffeted by economic distress, brutality, and narcotics. On August 28, 1963 - the day Martin Luther King Jr. declared "I have a dream" on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial - two young white women were murdered in their Manhattan apartment. Dubbed the Career Girls Murders case, the crime sent ripples of fear throughout the city, as police scrambled fruitlessly for months to find the killer.

Historia
Now a number one Netflix documentary series. Get the full shocking story about billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in this number one New York Times best-selling and definitive book. Jeffrey Epstein rose from humble origins into the New York City and Palm Beach elite. A college dropout with an instinct for numbers - and for people - Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill. But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. That unceasing desire resulted in sexual-abuse charges, to which he pleaded guilty and received a shockingly lenient sentence.

It's funny how I selected this book just as an Outlier of my other books. I hadn't heard much about Jeffery Epstein and the crimes he and others in Power committed. Fast forward today and to know as much as I do based on the information in the book has allowed me to explain to others the background of his story, crimes and ultimately his untimely death.
James Patterson did good in this one!

The book began telling the story of event years ago and progresses slowly through the acquisitions which helped build Koch Industries. Then it gets into the political machine and how money, politics and their Army of Americans for Prosperity and the Cato Institute helped influence public policy in America.
Very educational Audio Book for those like me who didn't know much about the Koch Brothers background and Charles Koch himself.
