Historia
I love him. And I’m pretty sure he loves me back...even though he’s straight. When I first met Carter King, I knew he was something special. I imagined us being together, and we are, but only as friends. Best friends! I’m trying to be cool with that, even though I know he has secrets, and there have definitely been mixed signals. I don’t want a crush to ruin what we already have. Then again, if there’s any chance that we can be together, it’s worth the risk, because Carter could be the love of my life. Or he might be the boy who breaks my heart.

Fantastic slow burn story with fantastic narration
Revisado: 02-06-19
So burnt out on the typical M/M books....what a freaking delight this book turned out to be. Absolutrly EVERYTHING was about the story. Loved this so much. Narrator could not have been better...already knew that from TJ books. This book is a must have! Jay Bell is never fluff. Feelings...uggg!

TJ Klune is freaking amazing!
Revisado: 12-21-18
it just amazes me how TJ Klune can go from romantic comedy, to horror, to sci fi, then back, then start all over again. This book kept me from beginning to end. I'm not one to talk about specifics but once again he brought a "kid" into the picture that just melted my heart.

Historia
Noah Westwood is tired of life on the streets, so he turns to Marcello Maltese, a man who owns a small media empire...and a few covert businesses, such as an escort service. Noah volunteers for this, but he's playing a dangerous game. A secret from his past could turn his new friends into enemies, and he isn't sure he can perform the duties he signed up for, especially when he's more interested in falling in love than hopping into the beds of his clients. This is complicated further when his hunky coworker, Harold Franklin, seems to be interested. Or is he?

I am a true Something Like...fan, listening to the whole series over and over. but, this book simply does not belong and somehow tries to make prostitution into a really great career choice. It does not go with the series.

Exceptional!
Revisado: 09-18-18
This is one of the best books I've listened to in this genre. For regular M/M romance readers, be forewarned that this has nothing to do with gratuitous sex or a happily ever after...the romance takes second seat to the amazing story telling about the three remarkable characters at the center of the story. This is one I will not forget.

Sweet story, narrator got it completely wrong
Revisado: 08-24-18
This is a very sweet love story that was almost ruined for me because of the narrator and the voluminous number of sexy scenes . It seemed like the narrator was reading a bedtime story to a toddler. There was absolutely no character to the narration. I'm usually not harsh but the narration was really hard to get through. Hearing him talk about the sexy parts just really creeped me out and made me very uncomfortable...not sexy even in the slightest. Although I really did like the story, writing and the premise, there was just a bit too many sexy times for my liking. There's only so many times that I can listen to graphic sex scenes before I start fast forwarding to get back to the story. I don't mind that the characters were discovering sex for the first time, but I think some of the scenes could have been more of a fade out situation vs. describing minute details, especially when the narration made the scenes feel like I was being read to by a school librarian.
I feel bad about the negative comments above, and I really did like the story, but before anyone purchases this one I think it only fair that you know what you're getting into. I should have actually read the book vs. listening via audible. I got this through the romance package, which I'm thankful for...I would have been really upset if I used my credits for this one.

Seemed like it was just all an excuse to write multiple sex scenes. I liked the narrator though.

This was so refreshing!
Revisado: 07-01-18
I have recently become addicted to the m/m genre, preferring authors like TJ Klune and Jay Bell that really have a story to tell. This one feels like that to me. I'm finding it hard to find books in this genre that are not completely and almost uncomfortably about describing sex over and over in graphic detail. I'm not square, but a book doesn't need 10 sex scenes to be sexy. This one was almost PG-13 and I loved every minute of the slow burn. Highly recommended...

Cute story, wrong narrator
Revisado: 06-03-18
I thought this was a really nice story but, frankly, the narrator was completely wrong for this genre. The emotion was completely lost, and I felt the parts that were supposed to be sexy sounded like I was being read to in kindergarten. I think the narrator would be great for children or some other kind of narration, but not so much with anything too emotional or sexy.
