Historia
Thirteen-year-old Natalie Gallagher is trying to escape: from her parents' ugly divorce, and from the vicious cyber-bullying of her former best friend. Adrift, confused, she is a girl trying to find her way in a world that seems to either neglect or despise her. Her salvation arrives in an unlikely form: Bridget O'Connell, an Irish maid working for a wealthy Boston family. The catch? Bridget lives only in the pages of a dusty old 1920s diary Natalie unearthed in her mother's basement.

Boring narration , slow story.
Revisado: 08-22-23
I'm a fan of this author but this story was hard to get into. I thought at first the story must take place in the South but realized the narrator is unable to do a Boston/ New England accent so instead it sounds southern. Not a big deal just a bit off putting.

Historia
It’s moving day for Val. And, as usual, anything that can go wrong does - beginning with her new boyfriend, Tom. When he shows up at her doorstep with an unwelcome delivery, Val becomes the unwitting center of attention for a whole new world of weirdos…whose antics could pin Val for human dismemberment. Plagued with a hot cop on her tail and a mean one on her trail, Val is forced to turn to old friends and new ones in her attempt to point the finger of blame on somebody else. But when an unexpected witness identifies Val as the guilty party, it may be time for her to skip town.

Fun Story
Revisado: 05-20-23
I like the fun storylines in these books despite them being farfetched. I enjoy the narrator as well. I find it hard to believe that Val and her cop boyfriend are hanging out with a group of homesless men but the characters are fun.

Historia
Six years after the fight that ended their friendship, Daphne Berg is shocked when Drue Cavanaugh walks back into her life, looking as lovely and successful as ever, with a massive favor to ask. Daphne hasn’t spoken one word to Drue in all this time - she doesn’t even hate-follow her ex-best friend on social media - so when Drue asks if she will be her maid-of-honor at the society wedding of the summer, Daphne is rightfully speechless.

Great listen!
Revisado: 07-27-20
I've been a Jennifer Weiner fan since I read Good in Bed when it first came out and this novel does not disappoint. I was not bothered by the narrator as so many other people seemed to be. I've stopped listening to other books due to horrible narration but I did not have any issues with this narrator, I thought she has a pleasant voice and although she pronounces some words a bit different, probably due to her having an Australian accent, it did not bother me in the least.

Historia
Southern belle BeBe Loudermilk has lost all her worldly possessions, thanks to a brief but disastrous relationship with the gorgeous Reddy, an "investment counselor" who turns out to be a con man. All that's left is a ramshackle 1950s motel on Tybee Island, an eccentric beach town that calls itself a drinking village with a fishing problem.

Horrible Narration
Revisado: 05-31-20
I am a huge fan of Mary Kay Andrews, I've never been disappointed by any of her books and have read several of them, including this one, multiple times. Unfortunately this book was shortened as it is an abridged version which was a disappointment when you know what is being left out. Also the narration was awful! The narrater gave the male charaters voices as if they are really dumb or thugs and her accent for a bartender or indeterminate gender was just bizarre. The narrator also mispronounced several words, worst of which was the name of the main character whose name is pronounced "Bay Bay" not "Be Be."
