Historia
Police Chief Aggie Malone is facing her first Christmas as a married woman, and hoping for a relatively uneventful holiday in the quiet Gulf Coast community of Dogleg Island where she, along with her perspicacious border collie Flash, is in charge of keeping the peace. She is still trying to find her place in the big, boisterous Grady family, but unlike Flash - and her own husband, Deputy Sheriff Ryan Grady - Aggie does not see the appeal of the holiday, and the magic of the season is completely lost on her. The old-fashioned Christmas Grady has planned for his bride begins to unravel when Aggie's investigation into a homicide hit-and-run leads to the arrest of her own brother-in-law and exposes a crime syndicate that's responsible for spreading millions in counterfeit bills throughout the southeast.

Flash love
Revisado: 10-27-23
I adore the characters this story. The plot is complex but comes together in the end. Flash is my favorite furbaby because he questions the situation and learns. Learning is so important to the conclusion. I recommend this story, even if you haven't read the previous stories. I can't wait to read the next book.

Historia
Still recovering from the traumatic events of the past year, newlyweds Aggie Malone, police chief of Dogleg Island, and Deputy Sheriff Ryan Grady are looking forward to a casual day trip to Wild Horse Island, a nearby nature preserve, with their precocious - and uncannily perceptive - border collie, Flash. But when Flash discovers a body in a shallow grave on the island, and Aggie and Ryan learn of an attack on the park ranger, a tangled knot of conspiracy, murder and deception begins to unfold.

Flash: A Girl's Best Friend
Revisado: 10-10-23
I clearly visualized Flashes latest adventure. He is constantly analyzing human behavior and his own perceptions. I loved that he does his best thinking in thunderstorms, and his joy at the end of this page- turning mystery is so true to life. He reminds me so much of my dogs in his abandoned pleasure. All the characters are further developed and given believable choices and decisions. For dog lovers, this is a great story. I recommend it highly.

Historia
Amaryllis Lark is one of the best psychic detectives on St. Helen's, the Earth colony recently cut off from the mother planet, yet not so very different from home. Lucas Trent, the rugged head of Lodestar Exploration, isn't keen on the prim type - and from her crisp business suit to her cool evaluation of his request to bust a corporate thief, beautiful Amaryllis is excruciatingly proper. But when a bold hunch heats up into a twisting murder investigation, by-the-book Amaryllis must let her guard down and break some rules.

Love Nora
Revisado: 01-07-22
I am done with sex scenes that take pages to read. At least this story didn't involve nightly climaxes. I did hold my breath at the stalker scenes. Those built great suspense. I also liked how the ghost character developed and the respect given to her at the end of the book by the main and minor characters. This made the ghost believable.

New Orleans' Thriller

I enjoyed the building of suspense; however, fewer sex scenes, which broke up the story, would have made the thriller's suspense easier to maintain. I enjoy everything I have read by Heather Graham. I am just not into sex scenes.

Historia
The world’s shark population is in trouble for a sad, simple reason: shark fin soup. And although it’s illegal, poachers have been targeting Florida’s biannual migration of blacktip sharks. Marine biologist Doc Ford needs some assistance protecting the sharks and enlists the help of three kids - Luke, Maribel, and Sabina. Luke is brand-new to Florida from the Midwest; sisters Maribel and Sabina have only recently arrived from Cuba - and all three feel like fish out of water. It’s going to take some convincing for them to work as a team.

Even though Doc has a small part on this tale, and Hannah has returned, the three kids make this story one that the whole family can enjoy. Their actions are believable. I enjoyed the scene with the fishing hook. No spoiler here--just something to look forward to.

Historia
On the first snowy night of winter, Detective Inspector Vera Stanhope sets off for her home in the hills. Though the road is familiar, she misses a turning and soon becomes lost and disorientated. A car has skidded off the narrow road in front of her, its door left open, and she stops to help. There is no driver to be seen, so Vera assumes that the owner has gone to find help. But a cry calls her back: a toddler is strapped in the back seat.

Vera: A Story of Family Decline
Revisado: 09-27-20
Any Vera lover will enjoy this story of mysterious events, complex characters, and decaying families. How does a family, any family, find itself at the brink of decline or destruction? What happens when families are destroyed? In this story, Vera finds herself wondering about her "betters'" lives, but then discovers secrets that cause her mind to explore possibilities. A blizzard, a fatherless baby, a brutal murder, then another, culminate in Vera figuring out who had motive, means, and opportunity. Readers see into Holly's character. I admire Holly more and more. Joe finds himself realizing the importance of keeping a promise. My favorite paraphrased lines: " I thought you were dead. Me, too" This story is carefully narrated and produced well.

I liked this story. Like most of this type the hero's thought process creates interest. I liked the four main characters. My regret is that the "gun carrier" needs more at the end. I hope he is in future stories. The girl needs more development.
