annoying voice
Revisado: 05-05-22
the reader does these super annoying voices to try to show different people are speaking. this got SO annoying I could barely stomach listening and getting the main points. I absolutely hated the performance.

Historia
Over time, the business of life creeps in and even the most deeply committed couples can feel like they're living parallel lives rather than enjoying life together. Their once happily-ever-after can quickly turn into an endless grind of work, chores, errands, and carpool. And the pull of social media becomes more compelling than engaging with one's spouse. In this book, Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley offer practical ways to rekindle the passionate, intimate, heart-to-heart spark of connection between husbands and wives.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

lots of self praise but actual help is thin
Revisado: 11-13-21
not that he doesn't deserve it, but damn this book goes on and on about how awesome he is at doing all the things. professes overwork and demeans streamlining. his philosophy is everything has to hurt and you're all pussies. I really got tired of all the self praise.
