Historia
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

I enjoyed hearing Lisa Marie talking herself. I loved that Riley was in this as well. She is definitely an old soul! I liked it pretty well. Wish it was a little more in depth. But this is what Riley had to work with. Great narrative and well done! probably one of the best I have listened too! RIP Lisa Marie ❤️

Thank you Brittany for sharing your life, so far with us all! The book was very informative! An excellent listen! I recommend you give it a listen!! I pray that Brittany will find her happiness and the balance she needs in her life! I hope she gets her relationship back with her children, she deserves that! Words can't express how much my heart goes out to her for enduring everything she had to at the hands of her own family. Shameful what money does to people! You got this girl!! Don't forget to reach out when you need help! You have a lot of healing to do after all this! Bless Brittany!

Historia
Drawing on period letters and chronicles, and on the papers of the Virginia Company - which financed the settlement of Jamestown - David Price tells a tale of cowardice and courage, stupidity and brilliance, tragedy and costly triumph. He takes us into the day-to-day existence of the English men and women whose charge was to find gold and a route to the Orient, and who found, instead, hardship and wretched misery. Death, in fact, became the settlers' most faithful companion, and their infighting was ceaseless.

I definitely enjoyed this read! I'm not all knowing about that part of history in America. I definitely learned a lot from listening to this book! The narrator did a great job! I liked the style of the author. I didn't get confused on who people were and it was easy to follow! Some of these types of books ramble on and on. I felt like it told a great story of some of the beginnings in America. Overall this was a great book for me! I would recommend it! Credit well spent!!

Historia
Dublin, 1962. Within the gated grounds of the convent of the Sisters of the Holy Redemption lies one of the city's Magdalen Laundries. Once places of refuge, the laundries have evolved into grim workhouses. Some inmates are "fallen" women - unwed mothers, prostitutes, or petty criminals. Most are ordinary girls whose only sin lies in being too pretty, too independent, or tempting the wrong man. Among them is 16-year-old Teagan Tiernan, sent by her family when her beauty provokes a lustful revelation from a young priest.
