This bittersweet novel by Jenny Han recounts the summer of Belly's 16th birthday. This story should win a Pulitzer

Such a great story. Walking down memory lane with Belly made we want to go invest in a beach house somewhere. Seriously, very nostalgic about summers as a kid. Jenny Han is truly shaping up to be one of the greatest YA authors ever.
The narration was good. The voice matches the person developed by the author perfectly - upbeat and girl! The only thing was she had a bit of a lisp and would spit out the b and p words - kind of annoying but added that razzle dazzle though.

Seventeen-year-old Sally Spitz is done with dating. Or at least, she's done with the horrible blind dates/hookups/sneak attacks her matchmaking bestie, Hooker, sets her up on. There's only so much one geek girl and Gryffindor supporter can take. Her solution: she needs a fake boyfriend. And fast. Enter Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally's best friend practically since birth. When Sally asks Becks to be her F.B.F. (fake boyfriend), Becks is only too happy to be used.

Historia
I wondered what my life would have been like if we had never moved to the ho-dunk town of Spring Valley, Illinois. Sure the internet service was splotchy, there was nothing but miles of wheat fields, and I probably wouldn't be faced with death at every corner. My only neighbor in this god-forsaken town was...well there really was only one to describe him, hot as hell. With his sinful dark looks, unusually silver eyes, and kissable lips, there was something about him that was more than meets the eye.

Its ok, narration isn't good
Revisado: 08-09-20
The story is pretty good. The lead character is not very interesting, I wish there was more depth to her. The romantic scenes are just average. Alot of dialogue does not forward to the story, and it took forever to get to the point. All in all, its okay to have as a light read or distraction.
The narration is not the best. She sounds like she has a cold. You can hear her breath after each sentence and then gulp/swallow after several paragraphs. It was hard to finish the book because of these mouth sounds. I also heard talking and voices in the background - extremely unprofessional.
