Historia
Sisters Amanda Foster and Erin Turner have little in common except the childhood bedroom they once shared and the certainty each feels that her way of life is best. Amanda follows the rules - at the school where she works; in her community; and as a picture-perfect daughter, wife, and mother-to-be. Erin follows her heart - in love and otherwise - living a bohemian lifestyle on a shoestring budget and honoring her late father’s memory with a passion for music and her fledgling bath-products business.

I don’t like spirituality books so it’s sucks to get half way through and then that starts with no pre warning

For as deep as the lake is, the book isn’t
Revisado: 08-29-22
I wanted to like this book if for no other reason than to see a blank woman succeed but I couldn’t. I’m glad Rachel had a meaningful life aside from writing this novel. It has no depth. We didn’t really get to know any of the characters accept on the surface. I couldn’t cheer anyone on or despise anyone because all of the conversations and scenes were superficial. There were so many characters but no real story until the last quarter of the book. The last quarter was good, not great. I forced myself to finish the book but I’m really glad it’s over.

Nothing exciting. Shallow storyline with a few erotic scenes. No characters to really love. Fairly predictable ending.

Worth the read
Revisado: 06-07-22
It’s a little slow starting out but it gets better. The voice of the 5yr old is a bit unrealistic . The narrator makes him sound more like a preteen with hormones. Overall a good clean read

Confusing
Revisado: 05-06-22
There is a lot of jumping around from past to present. Combine that with one of the biggest twists of the story and you’ve got yourself quite a conundrum. The last 2 hrs are wonderful if you can make it that far.

I love the book but why so much vulgarity? It’s just unnecessary. The setting, plot, and the way the story is told was very well written.

Historia
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Slow and dry until the last 2 hrs. The story could have been given much more plot thickening scripting. Disappointing overall
