Another excellent story by Michael Connelly

The atmosphere of the story was strongly influenced by the COVID pandemic; how quickly we forget what it was like. The plot and characters were well developed and interesting. As is often the case, it's important to stick with the story; it gets very interesting but takes a few chapters to really settle into the plot. The audiobook readers did a great job.

The reader did a good job, and the story was fairly interesting. However, the book was unpleasant and seemed unnecessarily dragged out. Not one of King's best.

Not as good as other books in the series

The narrator did a good job, but didn't have great material to work with. I've listened to the previous JP Beaumont books (in order, very important) and enjoyed them. This book ended up being ok towards the end, but it took much too long to become interesting. Not up to the usual standard.

Every American should read this book.

A fascinating story of Donald Trump's highly dysfunctional background. It makes a lot of sense, and gives a lot of background information to help the reader better understand our nation's current situation under this administration. Very worthwhile.
