One night Decker comes home from a stakeout to find his wife, young daughter, and brother-in-law horrifically murdered. Obviously scarred and nearly broken, Decker has to use his skills as a detective and his unusual brain capacity to try to catch the monster who killed his family.

Enjoyable but somewhat cheesy in parts

Memory Man has an interesting concept, and as a whole, the story is quite good. The speakers were pretty good and helped capture the mood.
Unfortunately, there are some places where the dialog and writing gets cheesy. The last chapter of the book is particularly bad and could almost have been lifted from many pilot episodes on TV.
Nevertheless, it was fairly enjoyable, though I think it's unlikely I'll listen to or read any of the authors books.
