Historia

Legion Selection will test every fiber of her being, heaping on endless trials of pressure, stress, and pain. Most candidates quickly find their breaking points, while others are merely broken. Only a precious few, the one percent of the one percent of the one percent, will earn their armor and become...legionnaires.

Historia
As an overwhelming army of skeletons, wraiths, ghouls, and other dark creatures - all serving a powerful undead sorcerer - advance against Forward Operating Base Hawthorn, the Rangers must now do what they do best: Go on the extreme offense. PFC Talker, attached to the weapons team section of a Ranger recon patrol led by Captain Knife Hand, recounts the harrowing attempt to destabilize this surreal and horrific nightmare force with everything the snipers, master breachers, and stone-cold killers of the Ranger regiment have in their bag of lethal tricks.

Love it
Revisado: 07-19-21
Unlike most books, I seem to lack the ability to stop listening. as soon as this story started I could not get enough. The world building in this series is some of my favorite and the main character Talker is relatable to a non vet like me when he goes into his mild case of imposter syndrome. I think talker is in my top 5 main characters of any series, he's a GOOD person you just can't help but root for. it's hard to come up with criticism for this book on my end, if you are like me and enjoy the Jason/Nick action storytelling you should enjoy this book and I reccomend it.
Also good job to narration, I legitimately forget it is the same guy narrating at points.

Historia
Orcs. Trolls. Wraith riders. Dark wizards. Together, they form an unstoppable force. Or so they thought. Dark Army...meet the US Army Rangers. When a Joint Task Force of elite Rangers are transported to a strange and fantastic future where science and evolution have incarnated the evils of myth and legend, they find themselves surrounded, pinned down, and in a desperate fight for their very survival - against nightmares of flesh and blood made real. Which means only one thing. It’s time to Ranger up and stack bodies.

Ever pretend your army men fought orcs?

Now I won't Clint you, as a sci-fi reader the first 15 minutes had to warm me up to the story, and that is only because I had to adjust to the fantasy setting. Let me tell you...if you had are having the same initial hesitation, TAKE THE LEAP.. I could not put this down. The action and story are just simply put, solid. I really enjoy the main character "Talker" and the supporting cast around him are just as fun....hoping for more on them in later books.
if you are on the fence, go to the author website and poke your head around, the story and universe just does not simply stop here, you are entering into a whole new reality with this series and you are going to love the story with the combo of community you get with these authors.
TLDR: SOLID STUFF, SOLID FREAKING STUFF. GET IT.
