I didn’t like this one as much as the rest in the series
Revisado: 01-10-25
I was looking forward to Reuben and Jules story, and the plot itself was very interesting. I liked hearing about different supernatural regions and their politics, I wish more time was spent around that. The romance felt very instant love, They used to date and Jules had valid reasons for cutting off the relationship, so I expected more angst. There isn’t, it’s a bit of awkwardness, and Reuben essentially blaming her for hurting him. Then she apologizes and they have a lot of sex, all fixed. Jules seemed like a tougher nut to crack in the previous volumes and it just didn’t deliver the way I’d hoped.

One of my favorite series
Revisado: 11-13-24
Like the rest of the series this has politics, action, and romance, all written in a way that keeps you at the edge of your seat. I loved the narration in this book and there was a big enough twist that I hadn’t guessed what was to come in the end. I am looking forward to book six. I’ve seen some TikToks saying this series is spicy romance, it’s not. There is longing, forbidden romance, and a few sexier scenes, but it is more a series about the politics of neighboring nations.

Great, but not a light read.
Revisado: 01-27-24
In my opinion this is by far the most serious book in the trilogy. It is far more about Anna discovering herself and trying to cope with her demons than a rom com. It was sometimes even a bit painful to listen to, because of the subject matter. But I loved it, the hurt is worth it. I do wish there was a bit more Quan but I understand why there wasn’t.

Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

I really liked this book
Revisado: 06-03-23
I feel like at the end of everything this story is a heartfelt take on learning to let go. The main character is so tightly wound and I admit that made her a bit difficult to relate to for about half of the book. However, there’s good pay-off and growth that happens. All of the relationships with the side characters are also very sweet and have emotional arcs.

Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

Great listen
Revisado: 01-26-23
I didn’t initially think to listen to this book because based on the cover I thought it would be an old lady romance novel. It’s great though, sweet and SO funny. Book characters are witty and interesting. Definitely try it.

Worth the hype
Revisado: 12-29-22
This is one of the few books I learned about on TikTok that is truly worth the praise it receives. The narrator is excellent with both male and female voices. My only qualms is that Feyre is a bit dull to me in the beginning (but she improves) and that I’m not a big fan of Tamlin who I find a bit boring. Will keep reading.

Feel good fluffy story
Revisado: 12-16-22
I enjoyed this listen it’s cute and the main characters have enough development to feel like people. It’s pretty fluffy with not a lot of tension and a few slightly spicy scenes. There is an occasional angel aside that I found a bit confusing although I understand why it was included.

It’s a fine listen
Revisado: 12-07-22
I enjoyed this book, it has some clear inspiration from Pride and Prejudice, Sherlock Holmes, etc. and can sometimes be a bit Fanfictiony which is fine be me but I can tell. It’s overall very fun and there are both some funny and heartfelt moments. I liked the narrator mostly, but her voice for the male lead was pretty congested sounding and I couldn’t take him seriously.
